2,000 years ago when Christianity became popular belief, the Humans, Angels, and other supernatural beings of earth (Werewolves, Vampires, etc...) formed a pact. It was known as the Unification. It forbid the infighting of the races, and spoke of peace for all. All was well for 13 years. This was the time when the Demons, Dragons, beasts of ancient mythology long forgotten, and other beings that inhabited the depths of Hell, rose from places around the world called Rifts to destroy the pact. Rifts are places along the earth that were weak to the influences of Hell and provided easy entrance to earth. The demon generals brought forth their armies to destroy the races of earth and take earth as their home. Mankind allied themselves with the supernatural beings in the war or their home. Akuma, a demon born at this time grew to become a warrior of revere, mostly because the monsters of hell were reliant on their numbers to kill an enemy at the time, and rose through the ranks quickly. It is now 2016. The war was forgotten by all but a spare few humans, and abandoned by a fair number of demons. But Akuma is still forced to fight in the ancient war. He has become a hesitant warrior in an others war. So what are you? A fellow demon? A hesitant inhabitant of earth? Perhaps a bystander, completely unaware of the ancient war? Or something else?
