~*~ Scent of the forest. It was the familiar scent of Earth and pine, mingling with that of predator and prey. Padding about, silent as way possible for unclad hands and feet, a tiny nekojin girl was hidden among the foliage of a bush, watching the advancement of a small squirrel along her path. Nearer...nearer still...and finally, she leapt from the bush. Just as a cat, it was caught in the vice of strong feline teeth and life wrung from its form. Crouched down there, an unclean youth fed beneath warm, fleeting rays of sunlight. Blue eyes watched with vigilance so as not to lose the prey clasped under the hold of a single hand and a small body held over it as if to conceal. ~*~
