Kuro had been trying to relax more since she kept seeing less and less of her master's monsters and she had no more wounds. She was hanging around some gothic club called Death's Fun but she was just watching from the table she sat at. She had a glass of wine infornt of her that was bearl touched. She was hoping to learn to not be so shy when she tried to make new friends once her eighteenth birthday came around. The music was lound and she could feel it's vibrations humming through her rib cage. They were playing Monster by Skillet, one of her favorite songs, but she couldn't even dare think of asking some random guy to dance. She pushed some of her black hair out of her face. She had decided to try wearing something else and went with a black shirt that fit snuggly around her chest and the hem was a few inches below her breasts. She took a sip of her red wine; starting to get bored with this club.

Thad happened to be there at the time, seeking out someone. He was gently but quickly pressing through the crowds. He went by Kuro, who might have taken curiosity to him. If not at that moment, she'd probably notice him speaking to who he was looking for... A tall guy with an eyepatch, about sixty years old, though he was more built and muscular. It was probably no one she knew, but he was abnormal, just like the steampunk in a gothic club. After a little bit of talking, Thad was led into the VIP room, which was supposedly empty tonight. Perhaps this would pique someone's interest... Though they'd need to be prepared of what they'd see.

Kuro had overheard what the man that was led to the VIP room was talking about. She didn't know who he was talking about but the discrtion sounded fimilar to her. She had seen someone like that about two days ago, along with ealier tonight. She didn't seem to take it as if he could be of any danger to anyone.

After a bit, there was a sudden few pops, like from an automatic gun of some sort, and that steampunkish clothed man was suddenly shoving his way out of the club. Screaming was heard afterwards, and glint of a gun might have been seen in the hand of Thad as he ran out. What he'd just done was something he needed to do, not something he wanted to. Once outside, he put away that trademark uzi and ran around a corner, into an alley, security in close chase. He'd led them there for a quick beating, if you could call it that, one quick strike to the back of the neck each and they were down, knocked out. He hid there in the dark, brass goggles a little more high-tech than most would think, as they had heat, night, and infared vision, all built into a brass waterproof casing and a UV protective lens. He really thought of everything.

Kuro's insticts kicked in and she ran after the guy with the gun. She had already pulled out her dagger, knowing it wouldn't protect her very well against a gun of any kind. She turned the coner but didn't go into the alley like the surcity did; she was smarter than that. She heard the men fall to the ground, not knowing if they were dead or alive. She waited for her chance to strike the guy.

Thad's eyes, aided by the goggles, could see Kuro waiting. "Don't come closer." He quickly reloaded a clip, drawing the other gun. "I don't want to kill you. I did what I was hired to do and I plan on getting my money for it." From what he was saying, it seemed the guy was a hired hitman. He shook out his sleeves and many crumpled brass pieces fell from them, only for him to whistle, and they'd rustle a bit before getting up on four legs on either side, short hypodermic needles in front under two bulbous things that resembled eyes. They simply ran circles around the man's feet for the moment. They quite resembled spiders a lot, at that.

Kuro didn't move at all until she heard the sound of something hitting the ground. She really wished she had a gun right now but she knew she was stupid enough to believe a dagger was good enough. Of course, she's been on the run for four years and never got shot but once. She stood infornt of the alley way. "What possibly could you have needed to do that could've caused possibly hurting random starngers?" Her voice was not some quiet, scared voice of a little girl, she wasn't that person, not since she had faced death once; her voice was strong, determinded. She looked at the guy with a daring look, proving she wasn't some scared girl.

Thad cursed, shaking his head. "You don't understand. That club was run by a crime lord. It'll go over to the bank's ownership now that he's dead and crime will go down ten percent. I was hired to kill him. Now, get out of my way before I have to do something brash." He rose a gun, pulling the trigger. Behind Kuro a large man fell, who was wielding a cattle prod and apparently thought she was an accomplice.

Kuro hadn't even heard the guy coming and turned around to see who was right behind her. She was confused about everything, she had tried to relax and dragged herself into something more. "Damn..." She mumbled under her breath at how close she could have been to dying yet again. And here I though death once makes you stronger and wiser and I still act like a stupid child. She though to herself, moving out of the way of the alley. She couldn't think of anything to say to him, she had accused him of possibly killing random people but instead he was protecting them from dying by the guy laying on the ground all along. She felt so stupid and foolish.

Thad put away his guns, those spiders crawling up his form with another whistle and into his jacket pockets. "It's fine. Don't say anything more. You didn't know. I should have been a little less defensive in the first place. I've been doing this for years, actually. Eventually I'll have this place cleaned up... For a price." He wasn't greedy, he just didn't want to put his life on the line without a material reward. Hell, by now, even the police themselves had made secret deals with him to kill gangsters. Once he passed Kuro, he held the man down, who was moving slightly.. Apparently he'd only killed his target, and no one else. "Don't move." He said to the man. "When I get these out, just go to a hospital, I don't have antiseptic right now." An armblade flicked out with a chink as he kneeled by the man, cutting some material off of his shirt before picking out the bullets he'd shot him in the knee with, and wrapping the wound tight to help him rise to his feet. A few of the men nearby had woken up and were still dazed, but he led the larger man over to the security anyway, and they took hold, all with questioning looks on their faces. "Why?" one of them said. "Because... You weren't my targets." At that, he turned to walk away.

"I believe I can give you a new target." Kuro spoke before the guy left. She knew she didn't have much money, besides what she had made on the sidelines during the times she was able to get some work. She had a at least a hundered or so, it wasn't much to most people but it was all she had. "Wang Sakuranbo, the sciencist." She spoke calmly. She looked over at the man. He was skilled at his job, and could help her track down her master. She only knew he was in either in Japan or America and she wasn't giving up on getting the revenge she dervsed.

Thad stopped in his tracks, crossing his arms. "Wang Sakuranbo. Heard about him. " He turned around. "So, any special means of death you want? A message put across? Any sort of way you want him dead? One of my clients requested a heart carved in the palm of their target, for example."

"I want your help tracking him down, I'll just need that and I'll kill him. It's personal." Kuro's hands balled into fists at the memory of the unbelievable things he did to her and his excuse was it was all in the name of science.

He nodded. "Tracking him down will be easy. His name is Japanese, and part of it is "Cherryblossom", which means he's probably of descent of the noble family of Sakura. If that's true, he's probably well-known and wealthy. Getting into his home won't be a problem either. I can't do parkour or such, but I know how to sneak. Once inside I'll incapassitate any guards and allow you inside. " He hadn't even found out where he was and he was already making plans right down to the assassination. He was either too cocky or good at his job.

Kuro nodded. "His last name is Japanese for the english word Cherry. I do believe his great grandmother was one of the daughters to the one of the Sakura fathers. You are correst on every account on him. I can handle the rest once in; I know his home inside and out." It would usually make someone wonder what was the conation between her and Wang Sakuranbo if they didn't know her name. She was as well known as him, but her physcial appearnce remeaned a mystier for some odd reason only she knew.

"You don't have to tell me your name but it would be nice to know what to call you... As for pay.. No offense but you don't look very wealthy. Not wealthy enough to pay for my services anyway... I'll just deduct from the target's money instead. After all, the sum of the assassination, plane tickets, and escort altogether would be around 11,000,000,000... It's a lot, but if he's as wealthy as I believe he is, it won't be much from his accounts.

Kuro didn't think of the price this was going to be it. She was glad that he would take from what her master had. "Kuro. You're right about the weathly part, I don't have much." She let out a sigh. "There is also a possibly that he well be in America, since one his sucessful science experiments had escape from his lab and he is on the search for them." It was a good bit of inforamtion since the word of her leaving Sakuranbo labs has not got out for fear of aother scienst trying to get their hands on her and seeing what she was able to do.

He nodded. "Alright.. Want to get started right now? I can go get my money from that recent job really quickly and then pay for two first class tickets."

Kuro nodded. "Yeah. The sooner this is over the better." She hated having to live a life of constatly waiting for her master to stop being a corward and come after her, always having to hide in the shadows.

Thad turned the way he was walking earlier, slipping a leg around a steampunkish motorcycle. It roared oddly when he turned it on, pure hot air exiting rather than fumes. A steam-cycle? "It's a little cramped, but it's all I have. It's lightweight and fast... If I can find some metal nearby I'll construct a side carriage quickly if you prefer." Making a side carriage for the side of a motorcycle in a few moments? Who was this guy, really!
