I've been using this site for several years now, and yet out of all of the years of using this site not once have I made an introductory thread. What is this foolishness?

So hello.

I'm yamashta. You can call me yamashta, or if you prefer real names and nicknames, I go by Oliver ( or Olly ), and/or yam.

I'm twenty years old and an artist who works both digitally and traditionally in a vast variety of ways. I love mushrooms and bugs, and have two fourteen+ year old cats (Artemis the calico and Callisto the tortoiseshell ) and a two and a half year old leopard gecko named Zenya. ...I also have a storage bin full of well over a hundred ( I want to say maybe two hundred ) cockroaches (blaptica dubia). Fun!

I'm not a very friendly person most of the time ( for those who play Furcadia, the term 'WF' may be familiar to you. I am not WF. )

Anyways I like roleplay and character development quite a bit, and am unfortunately a more slow-type developer in the sense that I have very few characters I actually embrace and play, and all of them have been in the works for a very long time. I struggle very much to create new characters. :')

If you'd like to see cute pictures of my pets just let me know, I will always share.

Also everyone here loves cute animals. You should totally post pictures of your pets!!! (Geckos are one of my favourite reptiles, too!)

Hello Yama! I hope you have been having a fun time here on RPR!

I am also enjoying the mushroom theme of your profile these days. With all the rain that's been coming down this year, I saw more crazy mushrooms this fall then I have any other year.

So given that you don't think of yourself as very friendly, what are you hoping for from this intro? Are you wanting to make more friends on the site, or something else?

Perhaps to find roleplay and/or make friends, or to warn people of me, in case I come off as too abrasive when interacting with others. ( I joke, partially. I try to be nice. Some times I fail to come off as such though. )

Welcome to the community! I wouldn't worry too much, just do your best to be the best you, and don't forget to communicate, that's all anyone can ask of you. By the sound of it you're pretty good at conveying your thoughts! I totally recommend keeping that up actually.

I don't have a favorite mushroom, surprisingly. I do favor gilled over polypores, though, as they make cuter spore prints. I like most if not all of them though, even the really gross looking ones.
