It's a day in 2019, I forget what day it is, or what month It is cold outside now, summer has passed... That’s all I know. But I remember the days when we used power without a second thought. I remember hating my parents, because they wouldn't buy me a $50 pair of shoes. Living in a guilt free environment, where the only things I had to worry about were cute boys, and what to wear to school. Instead now I have to worrying about dying the next day. To think that listening to music now is a guilty pleasure, and one that involves sweat, blood and tears. Literally. Everything is so close to being normal, and yet so far. I can see a computer in the corner of the room, and yet it is useless. A sewing machine, redundant. An empty box of pancake mix, like gold dust, swallowed by the wind. A dated newspaper, a plain reminder of Before.

The zombie apocalypse started 2 years ago. New technological advances were trying to be made. Super computer, cures, super humans. The usual, and of course we as the lower ranking people (Not military/presidents/government) had to just go with it. Maybe we should have done more, protest, strike, boycott, the usual they did in the older days. All we do know for sure, is on July 4, 2017 the world ended, and all our lives along with it.
