I been thinking on this one lately. I've had online relationships. Still have them. Now I got someone saying they might visit after I got to know them online. We're poly so it's all good with whatever but they're also looking for a mate which I'm being VERY cautious about. As in my past online relationships I have learned that the heart is the heart be it online or offline. And like in life when things go wrong in that area they can go wrong in a big way.
Yet a visit IRL is a visit. It's not going "Let's live together in this online place". So in this light doing something IRL is actually slower then something done online, not faster. It's like visiting an online home and not moving in.
I never thought about it like this before. Makes sense though.
