Kahil pulled his legs up to fold in front of him neatly as he pulled his sketchbook out of his bag and set it on his lap. He had about an hour before school actually started and he planned to use every second of it to work on his latest obsession. He would never admit it but the new character he'd started sketching was pretty much just a parody of his dysfunctional father.

Zoro walked up to the kid with the sketchpad and thought 'He must be new here' and walked over. "Hi I'm Zoro, nice to meet you"

"Kahil," the redhead grunted out his own name in response without even looking up, strong browline furrowed in concentration as he sketched out the outline for a face. "What do you want?"

"I'm just here to make friends" Zoro says with a smirk "So what's that you're working on?"

"I'll be moving again before you can 'make friends' with me, bro, I wouldn't bother." Kahil sighed, still having not looked up at the other. But he answered the question regardless of what he'd just said. "It's a new concept that I'm developing. His name's Marco and he's very stupid."

"Oh is that a challenge?" Zoro asked with a devious grin

A year ago, Kahil probably would've at least smiled at that. But now, he just gave an irritated sigh and a vicious shake of his head. "You're cute. But stupid."

Zoro gave a slight laugh as he sat by Kahil. "I get that a lot around here"

Kahil shifted to make room for him and snapped his sketchbook shut. He obviously wasn't going to be able to get anything done with this kid leering over his shoulder. "I can imagine."

"Listen kid, you remind me of me when I first came here. If you just learn to play nice and make some friends maybe you can survive until you move again.

"I don't have to play nice," Kahil shrugged and finally looked over to Zoro. He arched a strong brow and looked away immediately. "I'm sure I'll survive just fine either way. Been through this enough times."

Zoro catches Kahil's short glance and asked "What's the matter do I intimidate you?"

A sharp scoff fell from the redhead's lips as he dropped his sketchbook into his bag. "No. You do not intimidate me." He spoke pointedly, eyes narrowed as if that entire concept was offensive to him.

"Calm down, I was just kidding, no need to blow a fuse," Zoro said with a little muse in his voice. "We should probably get to class, you want me to show you around?"

Honestly, Kahil was always, at all times, blowing some sort of fuse. Which is why that last comment irked him so bad. He glared daggers at Zoro. "If you must."

Zoro hopped up quickly and extended an arm towards Kahil to help him up. "Well then we better get going"

Kahil stared at the arm offered to him and gave a soft scoff before getting to his feet all on his own. "You're really irritating. Lead the way."
