Chihiro noticed a piece of paper slide onto the side of his shoe. He picked it up and read the message from Phoenixheart. He looked down at the foil ball, which was now approximately the size of a golf ball. Actually, what was he planning to do with this thing? Another metal rang across the room and Chihiro's attention snapped back to Sacha, who looked like he was struggling to stay awake. He wrote 'watch this' into the paper beside Phoenixheart's handwriting and slid the paper back to her. He grinned, picked up the mass of wrappers, and nailed Sacha in the temple with it.
Sacha went from nearly asleep to wide awake in the moment the projectile hit his head. He jumped, toppling his desk over with a loud thud and nearly falling out of his seat. He looked around wildly for the offending object for a moment, picking up the ball of gum wrappers that had landed beside him. As he sat up again, he realized the rest of the class, as well as the teacher, were staring at him with looks that ranged from astonishment to disappointment. As he wondered who had thrown the strange projectile, Sacha slowly picked his desk back up and gave the teacher a clueless look until he gave up trying to get an explanation out of him and went back to teaching.
Sacha scanned the room for the culprit.
Sacha scanned the room for the culprit.
Phoenixheart read the paper and looked up from it just in time to see Chihiro throw the paper at Sacha and nail him in the temple with it. It took her best efforts not to burst out not a fit of laughter as she saw the poor satyr's reaction. She had determined that Chihiro had thrown the projectile at Sacha either to mess with him or to stop him from kicking the metal leg of the desk. What a way to get someone's attention. When she saw Sacha scan the room for the culprit, she stealthily wrote on the paper that Chihiro had passed back to her "pfff, that's what you made the ball for? why not just use eraser or paper pieces to throw?" and passed it back to him.
Chihiro read the message that was passed to him and had to agree that Phoenixheart was right. However, there was no way he was going to admit to that now that he thinks about how absurd throwing a ball of wrappers at someone is. He brings his pencil to the crumpled piece of paper once more and simply writes down 'because I'm recycling'. After a moment of thought, he followed it up with 'also, look how well it worked. He looks so attentive he might as well be a regular, diligent student'. He tossed the paper back to Phoenixheart and glanced at Sacha. He, along with most of the class, seemed to be curious as to who could have thrown the foil ball. Chihiro tried his beast to make his chewing as subtle and inconspicuous as possible.
Sacha watched Phoenixheart for a moment, then shook his head to himself. It couldn't have been her; the wrapper ball had come from the wrong side, and besides, she was way too nice to do such a thing. He could Chihiro a few seconds later. Sure, he had the looks of someone who would assault him with a ball of gum wrappers, but as his friend-- Sacha had nearly dismissed the idea when he noticed that, very carefully, Chihiro was chewing what could only have been a wad of bubble gum. Sacha narrowed his eyes. This was not a crime to be easily forgiven.
In accordance with eye-for-an-eye ruling, Sacha wound up his arm and threw the wrapper ball back at Chihiro. The teacher made a weird face as he taught, like he was deciding whether or not to intervene.

Chihiro was so focused on chewing his gum quietly that he was caught completely off guard when the ball of wrappers hit him on the head. He bent over to pick up the projectile and drew began to draw up his arm to throw it back to Sacha but noticed that the teacher was now eyeing him as well. He'd just moved into the neighborhood, so he was pretty sure his dad would be annoyed that he'd managed to get into trouble just a week after they'd arrived. He lowered his hand and scribbled 'you win this round >:b' on a separate piece of paper that was small enough to go unnoticed. He tossed it onto Sacha's desk.
Phoenixheart let out a quiet giggle as she read the note which then became a bit louder when she saw Sacha threw the paper back at Chihiro. She noticed that the teacher had apparently seen what was happening and was now looking at her as if she had a part in this. Phoe quickly stifled her giggling and cast the teacher as innocent a look as possible. She most definitely didn't have any part in the ball-throwing. She was merely finding amusement in it. She quickly wrote on the piece of paper that Chihiro had passed back to her "Well, this is quite an amusing situation XP" and stealthily passed it back to Chihiro.
Sacha picked up the small piece of paper, reading it to himself with a self-satisfied smile. Chihiro had certainly paid the price for his crime. He waited until the teacher had to turn to write something on the board to look over at Chihiro and stick his tongue out at him. Pretending not to be interested in the secret conversation going on between his two friends, he noisily unrolled the top of the Bugle bag in his lap and started looking for crackers that would fit on his fingers.
Phoenixheart stifled a small giggle as she saw Sacha stick his tongue out at Chihiro. She didn't want to attract the teacher's attention, so she was trying her best to stay as quiet as possible. She had started to doodle on her hand again, but paused and looked over at Sacha when she heard rustling of a bag to see he had unrolled to top of the Bugles bag. She shrugged and went back to doodling on her hand and started to softly hum as she did so while also absentmindedly listening to the lecture.
Chihiro was drawing on his notebook to pass the time when he felt a sharp pain in the right side of his head. Why was he having a migraine this early? He raised his hand and asked the teacher if he could be excused to the clinic, pressing his palm against his temple. The teacher sighed and nodded, as if she didn't believe that he had an actual reason to leave class. He grabbed his bag and stood up to leave the room, but the teacher told him to wait. She asked if someone would like to 'assist Tenji to the nurse's office?'
Phoenixheart had stopped humming and doodling, casting Chihiro a concerned look when he asked to be excused to the clinic and pressed a hand to his temple. She was curious as to what was happening that he needed to go the clinic. She didn't really want to be around a clinic or nurse as she didn't really have any good memories being around them, but concern for her friend had won over her fear, so she tentatively raised the hand that she had been doodling on and said "I'll go" when the teacher asked if anyone wanted to escort Chihiro to the clinic.
Chihiro flashed her a grateful smile, though it came out as more of a grimace. The teacher ushered the two of them out of the door. Once they were outside the classroom, he turned to Phoenixheart. "Sorry about this," he apologized, trying not to look like the headache was bothering him "I just get really bad migraines sometimes."
Phoenixheart shot Chihiro a shy smile when he apologized and said "i-it's fine... I kinda wanted an excuse to get outta that room for a bit anyways... there were still some kids staring at my wings in there and it was starting to make me uncomfortable..." After staying silent for a moment, she said a bit quietly "u-um maybe I could help with the migraine... I do have healing magic after all... though I'm not fully sure if it'll work on migraines... and it does take a bit of energy to use it..."
Sacha's hand had shot up when Chihiro needed someone to walk to the nurse's, but of course there was no way the teacher was letting him out of the room, and Phoenixheart had already volunteered anyway. He frowned and slouched back in his seat as his friends left.
As much as his friend's apparent healing abilities made him curious, he didn't want to tire her out so much this early in the day. Maybe some other time, he decided. "No thanks, I'm sure I'll be fine after some rest" he beganmoving down the hallway, but stopped in his tracks. "By the way, do you know where the nurse's office is?" He realized that he hadn't actually taken the time to familiarize himself with most of the school's facilities, except for the library and the music room of course.
Phoenixheart nodded in understanding when Chihiro refused her offer of using her healing magic to help. She wondered why for a moment, but then figured that he probably didn't want to tire her out so quickly. She started to follow after him down the hallway, but quickly stopped when she saw him pause. She thought for a moment before responding "Hmmmm... I actually don't know where that is..." she had wanted to steer clear of the clinic before, so she hadn't gone out of her way to scout it out. She paused for a moment before saying "Do you think Sacha might know? He did know where the band room was... maybe he knows where the clinic is too..." it seemed like a long shot to her, but it seemed worth it to ask.
Chihiro knew for a fact that Sacha pretty much just wandered around the campus or played the piano instead of actually attending a few of his classes, so he supposed it would make sense that he knew where the clinic was. "Yeah I agree, we should call him." He looked through the glass pane on the classroom door to where the satyr was slouched in his chair. "How do we gat him out of there though?"
Phoenixheart thought for a moment, brows furrowing in concentration. She really didn't know any way to get the satyr out of the room besides going in and telling the teacher that they didn't know where the clinic was and that they needed help finding it. However, she also didn't want to interrupt the class just to ask for another person to leave the room in order to help. Not being able to come up with any other ideas, she said "Well, I can't really think of anything besides going back in and telling the teacher that we need help finding the clinic.."
Chihiro sighed and knocked on the classroom door. He peeked his head through and cleared his throat. "Uh- excuse me, we need help finding the clinic." He shot a look at Sacha, hoping that the satyr would take the hint.
Sacha looked up, hearing Chihiro open the door back up and speak. Before the teacher could suggest someone else, he scrambled out from his desk and darted out the door past the two, binder held firmly in his arms. Although he paused in the hall to wait for his friends to catch up, there was no use for the teacher to try and stop him. Sacha was on a mission: to help his friends. And also to get out of class, but that was secondary, clearly.
