As I've been hanging out and coming down off a stressful job search, my muses have been coming out in force. As a result, I now have story ideas I'd love to explore! These CAN be modified to include more mature themes but I'm not requesting them to be as such.
(Note: My character pages are by no means representative of all of my characters. In fact, the ones I mention I'd want to play may not have a page at all. If that's an issue, tell me and I may make one because you're that special.

Idea one: Wrench in the Gears (Medieval/fantasy)- A princess who is the sole heir to a kingdom has been in poor health most of her life. As a result of her seclusion, her only exposure to anything exciting are the stories she's stolen away to the knights' barracks to hear them twist tales of dragons and battle. Now a barely of-age young lady, her father has spoken of arranging a marriage with another kingdom in order to strengthen borders and ensure she's cared for when he passes. In secret, over the years she's become sweet on the Knight's commander who considers her a dear friend (possibly more). To prove their worth, several neighbouring kingdoms send their best knights to duel in arena and claim her hand. The Knight commander champions her and bests them all. Which leads to the big issue- he won, so rightfully he's the successor and she's pledged to him now.
Idea Two: Dragon's Heart (medieval/fantasy)- A king and queen are caravaning to a southern kingdom to cement an alliance. During a harsh storm, their toddler daughter runs away to a cave, finding a large dragon in one of his many hordes. Caring for her through the night, he takes her back to the campsite only to find that the caravan had to move on lest they be lost in the storm. Unable to find her family and chased from the skies of the kingdom, he takes her back to his keep and with his Kobold family/servants, raises her as a well rounded, schooled, combat-ready woman. Eventually she is found (the keep is assaulted) and 'rescued' back to her family, thinking her dead all these years. Social norms bore and exasperate her and she spends most of her time out in the proving grounds taking her anger and pain out on wayward squires. While she pines for her dragon that she's grown to love very much, a knight in strange armor comes to pledge his sword to her father. Unable to recognize him at first, they grow familiar with each other until it's revealed the human knight is her dragon returned to her.
Idea Three: Ghost in the Machine (sci-fi)- Robots have become a part of everyday existence on a future Earth and beyond. Oni, a young engineer who lost her right arm in an old accident, is a young Japanese orphan who was raised by an old ship captain who's long since retired and now runs her own repair shoppe at a busy and profitable starport. On one of her many looting runs at the local scrapyard, she finds an old but intact unit that used to be a common loader but has long since been obsolete. Taking it back, she starts cleaning it out and realizes the internal chassis and wires look almost like veins and the supports look like a skeleton. Or is her mind playing tricks on her? When things start moving around her shoppe and she starts hearing screaming when her solder seals onto a unit, or sensors trigger when no one is there, she starts reconsidering her salvage. (The loader unit is haunted by the ghost of a worker who was killed by being in the wrong place during a mob war at his factory. His blood on the loader, he's been dormant in the loader body for years. Until now.)
