A group of rouge scientists from the British Government form the SPLINTER program, abducting adults in an vain attempt to create superhumans.
One day. One of the scientists took a liking to one of the prisoners, they secretly formed a relationship and had a child.
This child was given a mixture of the women's name and the scientist's name: Christopher Anthony Maxus Porter.
Chris became the new genetic toy for the more extreme scientists. He was their first superhuman-like mutant.
At the age of 13, Chris snapped, broke out of his cell and kills every scientist besides the scientist who was his father. They released the other superhumans and used the base as a settlement.
Now, the government wants to attack the base.

Some magic. Few can use it, but most of the players probably won't have it. Magical characters will likely believe that they are all alone.
Near future, perhaps cloning and genetic manipulation
Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.

This sounds badass. My character Zuma is a genetic experiment, perhaps he can join.
