Hello there. I joined on Sept. 12th but didn't really do anything except make and delete characters for this entire time. Now I have mustered up the guts to introduce myself.
I heavily prefer the fantasy genre of roleplays. I lean more towards free form rps, but I am open to most things as a whole. I have been rping off and on for... uh.. I don't really know how long, so I'll just say several years. I try to be descriptive, but prefer not to roleplay with paragraphs because EFFORT.
I am always looking to improve and would greatly appareciate any and all cricitism on my characters and roleplaying. Also, I am on Discord much more than anything else, so shoot a message my way if you want my Discord.
That's about it.

Hello, it's nice to meet you!
SUP MUT-ATER!
Your characters look alright. And I'm glad to see that you've stepped out of the shadows to say hello.
HELLO AND WELCOME TO RPR!

...Just kidding.
Welcome ( belatedly ) to the RP Repository!

Welcome ( belatedly ) to the RP Repository!
Welcome to RPR. Your character bios look pretty good.
Hello and welcome to RPR hope you like it here!
Welcome to the community! I'm guessing you've got most of the site figured out already, but if you ever have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.
I have to echo what Sanne said: you really seem to have a decent handle on using the site to your advantage. Have you found any good RPs so far?
But it's nice to see a welcome from you! I'm Lucree, but call me Light or whatever you like. It's sweet to meet you!

I actually have minimal grasp on the site, I have not actually rp'd here nor spoken to anyone outside of recently, just made and deleted character profiles. I just wanted to get back into rp'ing and felt this would be the best way.
Hey! I feel you on the mustering-the-guts bit, I barely had the courage to join at all. Hope to see you around 'cause it seems like we like more or less similar things aha!

Hi! Welcome to RPR!
Hi! Welcome to RPR!
Hai there. Welcome to rpr!
Welcome to the larger community! If you're trying to get a sense of how RP works here, here's some tips...
When it comes to starting RPs, most people start in the Looking For RP forum to find some other players. There's also a search tool that will help you find what you're looking for within that forum - click "Find RP" in the top menu, then "join game" then scroll to the bottom to adjust your preferences for game types. If you want more info on using that search tool, here's a handy help article.
If you end up joining someone else's RP, they'll let you know the details about how to join in.
If you're starting up your own RP, you have a few choices about how to proceed once you've found a RP partner or two.
By the by, you can use the "launch chat" button at the top and bottom of any forum topic, whether it's in a private group forum or our public RP forums, to turn your topic into a real time chat! There's also a link in the sidebar of private messages that will let you do the same.
However, when it comes to styles and systems, I can't give you a single "this is how it is here!" answer.
Our goal is to provide the general tools so that people can do any kind of RP that they want. I think that's part of what sets us apart from most other RP sites, which are often built to work with a specific system (ex. D&D 3.5) or style (ex. paragraph freeform) or even setting (ex. Harry Potterverse).
We have the flexibility for much more than one type of RP, which is awesome, but also makes it a little harder for us to tell you exactly what will be expected from you in every RP that you join here! But most people will happily tell you their expectations or what they'll need from you if you express an interest in knowing more about a potential RP.
Any questions? Just ask!

- You can just create a RP topic on one of our 3 public RP forums: General Roleplay, Sci-Fi Roleplay and Fantasy RP. Keep in mind that because these areas are public, you'll have to make sure the RP stays in the PG-13ish range.
- You can choose to RP via private messages, and just create a new conversation thread with all your RP partners as recipients. Since this is private, the only rules that tend to apply are not to do OOC illegal things and be nice to your RP partners OOC.
- If you're going to have a whole lot of people in your RP, or the RP setting is going to be very strictly defined and you want to have a place to store world building information alongside it, you might consider starting your own group. This gives you access to profile building tools for the group, but also to creating your very own forums!
- In some cases, you and your RP partner might even decide to use some other messenger or game to RP on.
