The patients of Starlight Mental Hospital were done wrong by the horrible doctors that took advantage of the poor once living beings. Or at least, some are still living.
All doctors were great, until two came in. They had a deal with the military to test a new drug on some of the patients, since most of the patients weren't expected to make it back to the outside world and were 'destined to lose their lives there anyway'. In return the hospital would be given all funds and they would be able to treat all future patients better.
The drug was harmless, it would just give them all unique qualities.
That's what they were told.
But it was harmful, the first patient had their arms removed from the drug, the second lost a chunk of their brain, the third burnt from the inside out. This drug was horrible, and mutated all patients to the point they didn't really look and/or act human anymore.
The staff thought it wrong, but all that would speak towards the two in charge, they'd become apart of the experiments.
All were not spared, all ages, all sizes, all disorders, all kinds. Every patient would become victim. And every time they turned out deformed.
(Chosen Character/Your Character/s) is welcomed with the sight of one of the patients in the woods, and happens to become his friend
