Jonathan let her go and locked her face "I tell you these things to protect you. So please listen to me"

Raven looked away from him and kept her ears pinned to her head.

Jonathan nusled her neck and licked her head

Raven got up and walked away from him. All fun over now. The only reason she was acting this way is because she was still sahken up from their words.
Lets play with her.. it kept repeating in her head. Hopefully she had taught them a lesson to not mess with her.

Jonathan walked after her. Still licking her neck

Raven finally stopped when they got back under the trees and sat down, moving away from Jonathan. "Quit it. Im fine and im not mad so you dont need to do that," she said in a slightly defeated sounding tone, instead of being mad she was looking at the ground as if something was troubling her.

"fine." he said and looked at her "is something wrong?"

"Yes. I dont like them Jonathan. They said they wanted to play with me," Raven made the word play stand out. Then she pinned her ears to her head and crawled to Jonathan on her belly, licking his two front legs as if she did something wrong and whimpered softly.

Jonathan licked her head "that exactly why I told you to stay away. They are rough and unforgiving Raven."

Raven whimpered and put her muzzle on his paw, laying down in front of him.

Jonathan licked her face and nipped her ear.

Raven looked up at him and hesitated before raising her ears up.

"you know I'll protect you"

Raven licked his leg softly and slowly then put her muzzle back down on his paw. "I know.." she murmured.

Jonathan nusled her neck

"Im sorry..I didnt mean to run into their territory..though legally it belongs to me..i just took a wrong turn and once i was in i couldnt find my way out..i dont know all my land like the back of my hand yet.."

"well it dosnt matter. Your ok and that's what matters. And for the land. They have a different system they think it's if you mark it it's yours"

"I still own it.." she muttered then pricked her ears up as she saw a black opening in the twisted roots of an old oak. Thunder overhead made her get up and walk over to it. Sniffing the opening, she found no enemy scents so she slipped inside and fell down a steep slanted little cliff. It was only a foot long but it was still a scary drop at first. The cave on the inside was tall enough for a human to halfway stand and wide enough to hold ten or eleven wolves comfortably.
As soon as she finished looking around the rain started pouring down. Raven sat and waited for Jonathan.

Jonathan walked in soaking wet

Raven walked over to him and started licking his whole coat down.
