Raven sighed and shook her head. "I dont know what i wouldve done if i had lost you," she mummbled.
And all this over that damn captain! If i wasnt married and a doctor i wouldve killed him myself.. Raven thought.

"On the next battle they wool sneak two soldiers dressed like us and kill the captain" he explained

"And what are we supposed to do without a captain? Because our lieutenant has already died from an infection. Do you plan on taking that role?" Raven asked gently.

" I can't take the role the next highest in command would"

"Like i said, our lieutant has already died and the captain hasnt chosen anyone else for that position." Raven explained.

" there is a level below the lieutenant you know"

"Really? Sorry i dont really pay attention to their orders. I just know about captain and lieutenant," Raven said, blushing a little embarrassed.

"well i think Jake, is that his name? Well I think he would take control"

"Oh. I dont know what his station is but i remember him," Raven replied sleepily.
Closing her eyes, she draped her arm over Jonathan's tummy.

Jonathan stroked her head as she fell asleep " well I think he is the one that will take command"

"He's young, but i think he will be good for that position," Raven murmured.
Soon she was asleep and her breathing slowed and deepend, telling Jonathan she was asleep.

Jonathan kissed her head and lay there waiting for sleep to take him

Something cold and hard jabbed Raven hard in the back, waking her up. It was an hour before sunrise. Turning to look over her shoulder, she gasped as she faced the barrel of a gun. The captain was behind it and Raven scowled.
"Get up and move away from him or i'll shoot him dead now," the captain growled.
Raven frowned and looked to Jonathan then back to the gun.

Jonathan woke and noticed the captain in the tent .he didn't move. He acted like he was still asleep, moving to his side

The captain cocked his gun and put it near Jonathan's back. She closed her eyes and got up, picking up an extra blanket and putting it around herself. The captain looked her up and down before she got the blanket on.
Raven clenched the blanket close and moved to where the captain pointed.
"Leave him alone jackass," she growled and took a step towards the captain.
He swung around and back handed her in the cheek, making her head snap to the side. His ring cut into her cheek and made a small cut. Blood trickled down her cheek and Raven was furious but she stayed where she was.
"Dont ever talk to me that way again," he growled and turned back to the cot.

That infuriated Jonathan. In a quick move me punched the captain in the stomach ad got behind him outing a knife to his throat "didn't I tell you not to touch her"

The captain coughed repeatedly and tried to push Jonathan's arm away but to no avail. Raven put her hand to her cheek and wiped off the blood. Holding the blanket tightly, she slipped past both of them and washed her hand off then grabbed a small towel. Wiping off the new blood, she sat on the cot and put her head in her hand. She was starting to feel dizzy from that hit. It couldnt of been that hard, could it?
"So you did," the captain growled in reply to Jonathan.

Jonathan staved the captain in the leg and threw him out of the tent " if I see you even turn and look at her I will torture you untill you can't plead for mercy!" said Jonathan as he walked outside. Putting his foot on his throat " got that?!"

"Ah!" the captain cried in pain as Jonathan stabbed his leg. The captain clenched his jaws and couldnt breathe as Jonathan stepped down on his throat.
"Alright! Alright!" he croaked.

Jonathan kicked his ribs and walked away "let me look at that." he said as he entered the tent
