The captain groaned and rolled into a semi-ball as Jonathan kicked his ribs.

Raven looked up as Jonathan entered but kept the small towel over it. She could already feel the throbbing pain there and knew it was either red or a bruise.

He took her hand away from her face and examined the cut. " are you alright?"

The cut was long but shallow though the area around it was already starting to bruise. Raven sighed and closed her eyes.
"Im just a little dizzy is all," she murmured.

Jonathan pulled her in close " don't worry he got a cut of his own"

Raven leaned into him and smiled a little, ignoreing the stinging of the cut. "Yea a "cut" and maybe a couple broken ribs," she said with amusement in her tone.
Holding the blanket around herself tighter, she couldnt figure out why she suddenly felt off balance. As if the world was swaying, then she couldnt hear anymore and she felt to tired to fight the rising tide of sleep.
She was out cold and her full body wieght suddenly leaned into Jonathan.

Jonathan called in another doctor to look at Raven. He was worried of what the captain had done to her

The doctor took a quick look at her and waited for her to wake up. Raven was awake a few minutes before passing out again. The doctor finished is evaluation in that short period of time though.
"Well he must of hit her pretty hard. She has a concussion and she will be in and out of conciousness. Be sure to put some alcohol on that cut so it doesnt get infected," the Dr told Jonathan.

" thanks " he said before the doctor left. He put alcohol on the cut as he was instructed and sat besides Raven. In a while another battle would start. And he wouldn't leave her side

Raven woke up to a stinging pain on her cheek. Wincing, she opened her eyes and looked around. Trieing to sit up, she felt like someone had taken a gun to her head. Putting a hand to her head, she groaned as she started feeling dizzy again.
Raven heard shouting and gunfire. Oh no! I fell asleep on the job! was the first thing that came to her mind and she tried to get out of her cot.

Jonathan pulled her back down " your not going anywhere"

Raven looked at him and relaxed, not so worried anymore. The only thing she wanted was for him not to be out in the field and gettig hurt.
"Jonathan.." she murmured and smiled.

" Shh. Just lay back down and sleep I'll be here by your side"

Raven gladly laid back down but she wouldnt go to sleep yet. Watching Jonathan, she was happy he was here with her and she didnt want him leaving the tent. Not for a second.

Jonathan stroked her head "I won't leave you"

"Not for a second?" Raven whispered.
Taking his hand in hers, she kissed the palm of his hand and smiled. Intertwining their fingers, she held his hand tightly as a wave of dizziness engulfed her again. Closing her eyes to stop the dizziness.

" not for a second" he replied. " you feel better now?"

"I feel like someone hit me over the head with a rock if that describes it enough for you," Raven replied.
The dizziness faded but her head was hurting still. The bruise got worse though the cut got better.

" I can relate to that. I was really worried " he got closer to Raven and kissed her forehead

"Sorry.." Raven whispered.
She closed her eyes when Jonathan kissed her forehead. The gunfire and canonfire was loud and bothered Raven.

The battle raged on the two enemy soldiers had infiltrated the camp and were walking to the captains tent. They entered to find him laying on his cot with his leg bandaged
