Raven hid an amused smile and walked out of her tent. Quickly she ran to her medical tent and saw to a man with a stab wound and a blow off leg.
The night continued with many wounded soldiers coming in. By the time morning came around, Raven hadnt gotten any sleep at all.
Finishing up with the last man that came in, she washed off her hands thouroughly and took out the band from her hair. Letting her night black hair fall down her back, she sighed an left the medical tent. She was exhausted from working all night long and the stench of the medicine had been making her dizzy.

"long night. You should get some sleep" said Jonathan as he walked besides her

"Yea. But we will be moving soon and there are still some men out there," Raven sighed.
Putting a hand to her head she rubbed.

" that's another reason I don't care for humans. They are too violent " Jonathan growled at the memory of yesterday's battle

"Well really theyre just doing what they think is right," Raven replied.
Looking around, she saw the holes were canon balls had hit the earth, leaving permanant scars as reminders. Blood stained patches of grass that would soon fade as summer rain threatened to fall. Dead men in both gray and blue uniforms scattered the field and Raven felt pity for the blue coats.
Most of them that were injured didnt get picked up since there was no time for it. She wanted to help them, but if she was seen she would be branded as a traitor.

" they have a really bad view of what's right then." Jonathan looked at her. " how old are you?"

"25. Yesterday was my birthday actually. Exciting birthday that was," Raven said with plenty of sarcasm.
Yesterday had been one of the busiest and most tiring days of her life actually.

" I envy you. I still don't know when my birthday is. All I know is that I'm thirty"

"You wolf-were's perserve your looks well then. You dont look thirty," Raven commented and watched as the sun slowly rose over the trees.

"In human years Im about seventeen. But I've lived for thirty"

"Ah that would explain it," Raven replied with a smile.

" I'll probably live another thousand years or so"

"Wow..thats impressive. I live about as long as the humans do. Maybe several years more. I dont grow old like them though. I look about twenty five for as long as i live. Oh im a shapeshifter if i havent told you already," Raven replied.
She watched as people started to get up and walk around the camp. Many wounded soldiers stayed by the main fire and waited for food, while the more healthy, less injured ones helped out the cook or the severly injured.

" I hope I didn't live as long as I do"

"Why?" Raven asked, looking at Jonathan in surprise.

" I have no purpose. What's the point"

"I dont know but what if you find a girl like you and you fall for her?" Raven asked, leaning against a nearby tree.

" I'm an out cast. The females are a bit picky on who they fall for. They hate out casts"

"So you would get a none wolf-were girl then?" Raven asked kinda intrested in how everything worked for him.

" that's the best I could do. I would probably end up with a human"
