Jonathan got on behind her. Holding on to her waist he said "just ride east for five miles. We should be in town by then"

Raven nodded then tapped the horses flanks. The horse took off at a run and she easily manuvered him without moving the reins.

"did you grow up riding horses?"

"Yes. I love them," Raven replied over her shoulder.

"lucky" said Jonathan joking

Raven rolled her eyes playfully and rode for five minutes. Eventually they came upon the town and she led the horse over to the store. Hopping off, she stumbled and a passerby man, caught her.
"Woah. Careful there mam," he said.
He was about 27 or 28 and charming, but Raven didnt look at him twice. Thanking him, she brushed herself down and stood up. The man however, did look at her twice.
"How would you like to meet me for lunch sometime?" he asked.
Raven looked at him surprised then shook her head no.

Jonathan got between Raven and the man " back off budy" said Jonathan with a threatening tone

The man put his hands up in surrender then backed away. Raven rolled her eyes at his territorial instinct. Taking his hand, she smiled and stood on her toes again. She kissed him softly for a second then walked up to a store.

Jonathan couldn't stand other men looking at Raven. He had to hold back from punching the guy. He walked with Raven into the store. " what are we getting?"

"I have no idea. I just thought something new would be nice..if we can pay for it that is.." Raven replied, adding the last part quietly.
Walking inside, she looked around and saw a nice, thick, gray blanket that would be nice for te colder days. Raven picked it up and looked at Jonathan questioningly.

"get anything you want I have enough to buy the store"

Raven smiled and picked up the blanket, handing him the blanket for a second. Then took it back when she had put up her hair. Moving it to the counter, she kept Jonathan close to her.

Jonathan stayed by Raven. He might not like shopping but he did like being with her

"Two dollars," the woman behind the counter said.
Raven slyly put her hand in Jonathan's pocket then grabbed two dollars and handed it to the lady. She tried to hide the smile tugging at her lips but was struggling to.

Jonathan took the blanket in one arm and Raven's hand in his free hand. " you ready to go?"

"Yep," Raven replied and led the way out of the store.

Jonathan walked besides Raven to the horse. He tied the blanket down on the sattle and turned to Raven "any other place you might like to go to?

Raven nodded and handed him a list of stuff. "Can you go pick this stuff up at the grocery store? I need to run to the doctors office," Raven asked.

"something wrong?" asked Jonathan looking at Raven after taking the list

"Nope just need a check up to make sure the yellow fever has gone," Raven explained.
Looking for the doctor's office, she saw it was just a couple stores down. On the edge of town, she started walking in that direction.
