Where to start.. I guess some information about myself is a good place to start. I'm Myrrh Liacyne, 19 years old. Currently living with my mother, Idrial, and my little cub Kiara, which I'll explain in a little. Anyways, I'm an elf, like my mother. I spent 17 years living with my mother and her tribe, I never knew my father. I've spent the last 2 years.. well, that's not the beginning, let me back track.
I was promised at birth to marry a man wouldn't meet until I was 18. If growing up with that wasn't bad enough, my mother practically forbid me to interact with any boys except the one I was promised to, that again I wouldn't meet for years.
Well, things went okay until I turned 16. I met a wonderful guy in a neighboring village, and we sort of started a secret relationship.
We started out slow and kept it well hidden. Until I turned 17 that is.. things went to far and I ended up pregnant.
My mother was furious when she found out, screaming about how I probably ruined things. And that's when the rest of the village found out. They were appalled that I was having a child out of wedlock. Not knowing what else to do, they shunned me from the village. My mother, even more furious about that, spilled a secret of her own. She had never actually married my father! As you can imagine, the village shunned her as well.
And what of my boyfriend you may ask? Well, he got scared and disappeared. And another thing to note, he wasn't an elf like me. He was a form of werecat. A lion to be exact. Which passed on to my child. She's a little shifter with an adorable lion cub form, who also has some elven characteristics.
But anyways, that brings me back to the present. My mother and I have been shunned for a little over two years, my darling Kiara being alive for only one and a half of those years.
My mother is positive I ruined things with the man I was promised to, though we have heard nothing from them. She also refuses to allow me to leave the forest without her with me in case I hadn't ruined things.
I hate being cooped up with her. I just want to be free. I want a father for my Kiara, and a man for myself. Why is what I want so impossible? Why can't I escape my mother? Why?
Well, that's all I have time to write now, maybe I'll be able to write some more later.
Myrrh wrote those words in her new journal before looking up and smiling at the cub that was sleeping on her bed. She closed her journal and put it away before sitting next to her. Being a single mother was hard enough as it is, but being an elven mother to a child that could turn into a lion was even harder. She didn't know how to teach her child to control the magic she had, nor could she relate to any of the feline aspects of her daughter. Only thing she could relate to was the elven side of her child, which was very small.
She gently stroked her baby's head as she looked around. She longed to take her child and leave the forest, but knew she wouldn't be able to escape her mother by herself. So she sat there looking out her window like she always did, longing for someone to come rescue her.

No. As long as your character is accepting of fantasy races such as those of Myrrh and Kiara, I will allow most any race. Only case which I require a specific race for, is if you choose to be Kiara's real father. In that case, it must be something that gives her the lion part of herself.
