So for Christmas I got this book named Nevernight supposedly the first of a series I guess, I just wanted to ask if anyone on this site had heard about it.

I looked it up on goodreads, and it looks like it's taken a few beatings for writing style and descriptions, but that's also an individual taste.

Well, Jay Kristoff's description are extremely deep, the footnotes almost like info-dumps, and his writing style interesting, but it's an alright book, I finished within the first three days of getting it (Although having a bit of a cringe-fest because of the instant smut near the beginning) and I think it'll probably be read again by me, sometime. The start was slow but near the middle it quickened a bit and finished rather agreeably.
I just wanted to see what others would have thought about it, if anybody had actually read it. Though I got the stupid idea of actually posting about an RP tied in with the world and story, if I did carry out that stupid idea then it would probably be helpful to ask if anybody had read it before throwing something out there that no one knew about and feeling disappointed about myself for posting it in the first place.
(I really did like the writing style though it's very unique)
