Welcome to the dimension known as Dissonant. A rugged environment filled with trees, lakes, rivers, and virtually any climate imaginable (Besides snow) surrounds a large, tall tower of crisp yellow bricks covered in overgrown ivy. A swirling, mint green atmosphere with a bright, white sun line the sky. A being of pure energy known as Milla resides in the tower, controlling the environment.
After thousands of years watching over Dissonant, Milla grew bored of the job It had to fulfill. So, for It's amusement, Milla plucked various people from their home dimensions: everyone from the average Joe to the rich and famous, magic or average, smart or foolish, and brought them to Dissonant, giving them nothing to start out with except for the clothes on their backs, their abilities (if they have any), their knowledge, and any possessions they had with them when they were brought to Dissonant. Milla brought creatures to Dissonant from these people's worlds, too. Milla also set up a little game for these Players. The objective is to reach Milla's tower and survive the world of Dissonant.
The catch? If nobody reaches the tower within the time limit; then everyone's home dimensions will be destroyed and the Players must remain in Dissonant forever. However, if even one Player succeeds, everyone can return home.
How long do they have to achieve this?
Simple.

Magic is fairly common. Players and NPCs important to the tale may have it. Mistborn.
Modern
More combat than not. The setting may be at war, and the characters will likely get involved whether or not they seek it out.
Details: Occasional dice use, adjustable length posts, long-term RP partner preferred.
