I am taking a semi-hiatus from rp due to real life issues. Anyway I am in this one group that is currently really active to the point of spamming my home page. I know you can filter to look at stuff from only one group, but I just want to exclude the one group instead of having to check everyone else one at a time. Can this be done?
Sure. 
Go to Home. Look in the sidebar and click the pencil next to the word "All"
At the top of that page is a list of groups you're in. Select the group you no longer want to hear so much from.
Uncheck the types of notifications you don't want to get from that group.
Click "Update settings"
You may need to clear your notifications cache (bottom of the sidebar on the homepage) to get your changes to take effect retro-actively.
