Okay, folks, I'm putting up my premier quest. Simply put, I'm looking for no more than 3 RPers who are legit, experienced players. This campaign is going to be moderately lengthy. Your reward is simple - those who are magically gifted will be able to gain a totally new type of magic - the Spectral Element.

Think of Spectral as the Yin-Yang, it's what existed before Light and Shadow separated - the seed from which these two elements sprung forth from. Cold Light, Radiant Shadow, all the contradictions and truths of the two elements bound together as one. Throw the balance off, and a storm of chaos and destruction cascades in a chain reaction.

Gaining this power is the essential first step for my character, Zahariel Portal'e. As a Shade, he's incapable of using his powers in direct sunlight. Once gaining mastery of the Spectral Seed, however, he'll be able to overcome this initial limitation. It is paramount for the progression of his epic destiny.

I'll take any questions here. There's one more post I need to make to properly begin the quest and set up the hook, but after that I will let everyone else who signs up begin posting.

This type of setting and story would actually work quite well for Myra here. As she can brew magical potions, items, and runestones, but cannot actually use magic herself. That would give her a reason to seek it out.

This looks like a blast! Who doesn't love a good quest? Though I'd love to read more about it, assuming Carabia here works for you? ^^

Honestly, and I really mean this, you can skip to the last three paragraphs of my second post - straight to the story hook. I unloaded like 2600 words and change which I seriously don't think you need to read unless you *want* to read them. The thing is, I haven't written in, like, forever, and I wanted to see if I still "got it". Well, I answered my own question. Please, please, please, do not feel pressured to crank out that much writing. Literally, I did it as a self-test and won't be writing posts of that length the whole time...I don't think.
