''Around 12:39pm today several people in a forested area were killed by an unknown enteity. They were found covered in slime and ooze. So far no one has been able to say what killed them. Stay out of the forest!''

That mere news report was only broadcasted days ago, it seemed. The bodies were young. Some old. Their killer was unknown still, but that didn't stop the other people from entering the forest anyway. Within all the silence, a lumbering beast of sorts watched the crowds. Waiting for anyone to foolishly get close to it..

Mia had the first one to find the bodies, and she had been there the whole time, yet nobody could see her. The humans had become blind to her presence, imagining in her place a raven or something of that sort as the griffin circled above. If there was something out killing humans, she felt a need to find it. The griffin let out a screech and dove down into the woods behind the people.

Sile flinched at the screech. They were born blind, but using their other senses they flung glob of ooze at the griffin with ease.

Mia quickly flapped out of the way with a startled screech then dove at the creature, talons extended and beak ready to tear.

Sile turned to face her, their sharp horns pointed and the right front claw swiping just as the bird was within hitting range.
