I've been playing quite a bit of Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun and I really enjoy the Shinobi character. I wanted to do a Sci-Fi RP playing as a Shinobi character that I'm currently working on. The overall idea was that at some point a Neo-Edo period where the ancient Japanese culture had a massive resurgence and spread across many of the colonized human worlds. Additionally I was going to take a bit of plot inspiration from the game but am as always open to suggestions.
With that being said though I am open to alternates for example if my RP partner wanted to do something in a high fantasy that would still fit a Shinobi that be great as well.
My only real requirements are that you try to put as much into your post as I do mine. I understand short filler replies but I like something to work with and greatly appreciate it. One of thing is that if you don't enjoy or know you are taking a extending break or simply leaving a heads up would be awesome.

Magic is rare, but not unheard of. Mundane characters may or may not believe in it. Magical characters may form small and exclusive pockets for study, protection, etc.
Far future, perhaps interstellar travel (generation ships)
Combat is woven into the storyline and could come to the forefront if the characters seek it out.
Details: Freeform, adjustable length posts, long-term RP partner preferred.
