Toxic smiled at her. "Trick-or-Treat" she said, holding the bag out for the women to put candy in. Her eyes sparkled with a childish excitement. "Trick-or-Treat" Thalia said bluntly. She held out her bag.
"Ooh! You must have worked hard to manage that costume," the lady gushed to Thalia. "You deserve a little extra!" She dropped a few pieces each to Toxic and Kitkat, went inside, and came out with a 2 pound chocolate bar. "I was saving this for the best costume of the night. Here you go." She handed it to the flying girl and shut the door.
"Thanks" Thalia said, sounding very confused. Then she realized she had been flying. She looked at the others and noticed Toxic had a mischievous smile. "Do that at every house and I bet we can double our candy load" she said, her eyes twinkling.
"Who knows. We might have more than Laughing Jack at midnight," laughed KK.
"More candy than L.J." Thalia repeated. She grinned sly. "Let's do this" she said. Toxic laughed, knowing that being able to make others envious of her was one way to get Thalia to do almost anything.

Thalia stood outside the dark worn down house. She listened closely and heard the screams of people from inside. Her mouth curved into a smile, she loved hearing people scream. Toxic looked at her. She had a lollipop in her mouth and she looked at the haunted house with a blank face.

"I have forty bucks," the hybrid said, counting her money. "This should get us into quite a few houses. Ready?"
Thalia nodded, her wings fluttering silently. "Sure" Toxic says, removing the lollipop from her mouth so she could be understood. Her face seemed almost expressionless.
She walked up to the line, taking out a five in the process to hand to the person taking cash and letting people inside. He was dressed as a scarecrow with a piece of straw sticking out between his 'stitched' lips.
"Three for three," he muttered out, a little distorted as he tried to keep his mouth partially closed.
KK handed him a five and got two back in change. He opened the door, holding it open for the trio.

Thalia walked through the gate, trying not to fly. "Thanks KK" Toxic said. Her hand held her lollipop in a bored fashion. The girl looked at Thalia, who had a wide smile.
When they entered, they were greeted by strobe lights, which were the only sources of light in a disorienting display for most normal people. Fake smoke covered the floor and ended at knee-level.

Thalia looked down and saw the floors that seemed to be covered in thick vines that made the house looked even older. She looked at Toxic, who was looking at the ceiling that seemed to be rotting, with black ooze that was dripping from it.

They were in a hallway with only one way to go: forward. Rooms were placed on either side, but were locked. Some appeared aged to the brink of rotting away, and others gave off intense heat.

"Yeah" Toxic agreed. Thalia kicked off the ground and flew down the hall and a moderate pace. She examined the walls that had wallpaper peeling off of them. Toxic followed behind her. She didn't like that the only way to go was forward, down a long dark hall that only seemed to get darker.
Kitkat walked in the middle of the hallway while examining everything. It was pretty realistic for a dollar entry fee.
It went on like that for some time, seemingly endless until it ended with a single door before them. Red light seeped from under the frame like a beacon.

Thalia looked at the door, which had chipped wood. She placed her hand on the cold handle and turned, pushing the door open. Toxic looked over her shoulder and her eyes widened. She saw a man with a fake chainsaw running in the room.
Kitkat blinked and fought off a yawn. It was a classic haunted house trait, one she'd seen often.
Thalia pushed the door open the rest of the way and walked in. Toxic looked at the guy with the chainsaw and glared at him, watching his movements carefully. She didn't really like loud noises and the chainsaw was quite loud, which kind of set her off.
