"No it's fine." She smiled at him and started heading back to the mansion. 'Oh my god. Why can't he see I like him? Am I covering up my feelings on accident? Does he notice and not like me back? Will he ever like me?' She thought this over and over, not paying attention to where she was going.
Toby nodded and smiled at her before following her back to the mansion. He was happy to see her again but he was trying to figure out his emotions right now. Last time he had let people get close to him they ended up being lost and he didn't want to lose her or hurt her. However, he was pretty sure that he loved her in someway but the way he did was the thing he was trying to figure out. For all he knew he could just love her like a sister, but there was a possibility that it was more than that.
She shook her thoughts away as he saw the mansion. "We're home." She smiled and walked in, opening the door for Toby behind her.
Toby was hardly paying attention but he was brought back to reality when she announced that they were home. He walked inside and nodded a thanks to her.
She smiled and walke up the stairs to the corridor of rooms. "Which one is it?"
Toby walked up the stairs and looked down the long hall before motioning her to follow him to the room.
She did as told and followed him.
Toby smiled and stopped in front of the door before opening it. He looked at the room before stepping inside.
She looked around as she stepped inside and saw half the room was taken by Toby and the other half was normal and unoccupied. "Thanks." She smiled before setting her bags on the unused bed.
Toby nodded a welcome before walking over to his side of the room. He was looking at the walls and the nightstand by his bed.
She started to unpack and wondered if she could find posters for her walls.
Toby sighed as he starred at a picture frame that sat on his nightstand. The picture inside was of his family that had died quite some time ago.
She heard him and knew he was sad, then said something in a different language that made a stack of posters appear beside her.
Toby was kind of upset that he had had to leave hus mother and he really missed his sister. However, there was an upside to it, his father was dead.
She hung them up using magic, pushed her bags under her bed, and turned to him. "You okay?"
Toby turned around to look at her, knocking the picture over in the process. "Y-yea, I'm fine. Why do you ask" he asked.
She picked up the picture and handed it back to him after looking at it. "It's okay to miss them ya know? I do all the time." She smiled kindly and warmly at him.
Toby took the picture before setting it back on the nightstand. "Yea, I know but, I hardly remember them which is the worst part. Every once in awhile I catch a glimpse of them in a memory but that's it" he said with a sigh.
She placed a hand on his shoulder. "I know. But hey I'm still here for you and I'm not leaving anytime soon."
She smiled reassuringly at him.
She smiled reassuringly at him.
Toby looked at her and nodded, a weak smile replacing his frown for a few seconds. "Thanks" he said.
