"No problem." She then went back to her side of the room and laid down, proceeding to listen to Fall Out Boy.

Toby sat down on his own bed, not sure what to do. After all, he had never had a room mate before.

She turned so her back was to him and rolled up her sleeves, hiding them from him at the same time.

Toby lookee up and her and shrugged a little. He could handle having a roommate, or at least he was pretty sure he could.

She traced over the scars and winced slightly each time he went over a newer one.

"What are you doing Amber" Toby asked, noticing how she had winced a bit and the fact that her arms were hidden from his sight.

She pulled her sleeves back up. "N-nothing." She hugged herself.

"You sure? You seem a bjt jumpy" he said, shifting a little so his legs were dangling off the bed.

She looked down, debating whether or not to tell him. "I'm fine." Her tone sounded sad.

Toby pushed himself off of his bed and walked over to her. "No, you're not. You're lying. Now what's wrong" he pressed.

A single tear escaped her eyes as she shut them and hugged her arms closer to her body.

Toby looked at her with worry. He put a hand on her shoulder in a soft, reassuring way. "You can tell me" he said.

She sat up and pulled her sleeves up to show him the cuts. They were self made from depression.

Toby gently took her arm into his own bandaged hands. "Please don't hurt yourself again" he said after a few minutes.

Her head was down and her hair was hiding her face like a curtain. "One for each year you were gone." She started to cry silently.

Toby stood there silently with a frown on his face. He wrapped his arms around her. "I'm sorry" he stated, his voice a soft whisper.

She leaned her head against his. "It's okay. I'll be fine. I have you now." She smiled.

Toby gave a weak smile for a few seconds before it faded back into a straight line. "Okay, just please don't hurt yourself" he said.

She nodded. "I won't." He smiled at him, her cheeks still stained with tears.

Toby smiled a bit more and raised one hand to her cheeks. He wiped the tears off her face with his glove.
