"Exploring like any normal cat."

"Alright then" Jeff said with a nod.

"Carl." She frowned. "He gave me all these and the ones on my back." She said this slowly and almost hesitantly.

Toby frowned softly and looked at her. "I'm sorry" he said, feeling bad that Carl did that go her.

She smiled. "It's fine." Her eyes were distant as if playing the memories.

Toby shook his head and sighed. "No it isn't, you deserve better" he stated.

She looked up at him and smiled. "Believe what you want." She said this because she was convinced at a young age that she was the reason her parents died.

(Sorry I haven't replied, but I haven't been feeling up to role playing.. and one of our dogs peed blood, so I may not reply today, either.)

Toby sighed and looked at her. "Amber..." he trailed off in the middle, not sure what he should say.

She looked at him, hope prominent in her eyes but followed closely by sadness and self-hate. "Yes?"

Toby couldn't find the words and he looked down at his reflection in the water. He remained silent for a few moments until finally speaking, "you don't deserve to feel the way you do about yourself..."

"I've been taught all my life that I was the reason my parents died. I do deserve it." Her voice was firm, yet shaky.

Toby continued to look at his reflection before looking up. "It isn't your fault they died. You don't need to take the blame" he stated.

"But it was. If I wasn't here, they wouldn't have died." A tear slipped down her cheek.

Toby seemed to just stare at her for a moment before shaking his head a little. "But you didn't cause their death" he said.

"Then what did?!" She was now crying.

Toby looked at her, honestly not sure how to answer her question. "I don't know...I'm sorry..." he replied.

"Exactly." She got out of the water and snapped her fingers, changing her into her normal outfit, then ran towards the willow tree she saw earlier.

Toby saw her and reached out for her but she was already out of the water. "Amber wait" he called, starting to run after her to find her.

She ran and climbed the willow tree, crying the whole time.
