"That was good i suppose," Mustang said quietly. Then picked up her book again and started reading. Several minutes later, she sighed and tossed her book to the end of the bed. Getting up, she grabbed her car keys and made a call.
"Hey dad... Yea... No class was fine... Actually thats why i called.. How long?.. Oh.. Dont worry i've got two part time jobs.. They pay okay.. Well im going for a PHD.. I know.. Okay..bye," she finished her conversation and hung up.
With a sigh, she sat back down and pushed her bangs away from her face.

"Where you goin'?" he asked, looking at her car keys.

"Well..nowhere now," Mustang replied and tossed her keys back onto the dresser. Laying onto her back, she rubbed her temples gently before staring at the ceiling frustratedly.

"What did he call about?"

"College money," Mustang replied with a sigh and looked over at Althalos.

"Where were you gonna go?"

"To pick up my college money. But my stupid father spent it at a casino," Mustang managed to say without growling.
Balling her hands into fists, she stood up and scowled.
"I can believe him!" she burst out.
Grabbing her car keys, she quickly walked from the dorm room and to her car. Honestly, she couldnt do anything without the money so she had to get it back somehow.

"Here, I'll come with you," Althalos stood and ran after her.

Unlocking her car, she waited for Althalos then backed out quicker than usual. Turning sharply, she sped off out of the parking lot and onto the street. She was furious and probably shouldnt be driving, proven as she sped in between traffic on the freeway.
Coming to a smaller town, she turned off the freeway sharply and into a neighborhood.

Althalos stayed calm throughout the entire, extremely fast drive, for his own sake if not to try and calm Anna down as well.

Mustang was going at least thirty when she sharply turned into a driveway and slammed the brakes on. Parking the car, she turned it off then got out. Slamming the car door behind her, she marched up to the house and went in without knocking.
Her dad was sitting on the couch watching tv and Mustang marched right in front of it.
"Aw! Come on Anna! It was getting good!" he complained then looked up ad saw how mad she was.
"Dad!! How stupid can you freaking be! What the hell is this crap you tell me about spending MY college money at a casino?!" she snapped angrily.
He cleared his throat nervously and looked away from her.
"Well.. I had a few drinks.. I-i wasnt thinking straight," he stammered at first.

Althalos ran in after her and put his hands gently on her shoulders, "Anna, calm down..." he said quietly.

Mustang visibly relaxed a little when Althalos spoke to her calmly. Closing her eyes, she breathed out slowly then pushed her bangs away from her face. Calming down considerably, she sat in a nearby arm chair.
"Dad..what do you expect me to do now?" she asked clearly still frustrated but not nearly as much as she had been.
Her dad turned off the tv and stood up.
"Im not sure.." he replied defeatedly.

Althalos quietly walked between them, ready to hold Anna back if she did decide to pounce on her father.

Mustang stood up and balled her hand in a fist. She was seconds from punching him hard and he wasnt helping himself by not being responsible. He looked over and took a step away from her clearly wary of her now.
"Look i'll get a job," he said.
"You havent had a job in two years! Why should i trust you to get one now?!" she snapped.
Her dad rubbed the back of his head and cleared his throat.
"Well..i..will," he said.
Mustang scowled then grabbed his wallet from the nightstand. Opening it, she took out his credit card. Shoving it hard into his hand, she brushed past him and went into his kitchen to calm down.

Althalos just looked at her father and then followed Anna into the kitchen. He hugged her from behind, his arms beneath her armpits and he slowly rocked from side to side, his chin resting on her head, "Just... calm down," he said quietly.

Mustang put her hands on his arms lightly and calmed down after a couple of minutes. Closing her eyes and sighing, she leaned into him slightly.
"Thank you," she murmured.

He gently stroked her hair with one hand and kissed the top of her head, "It's alright," he smiled weakly.

Mustang pulled away and turned to face him. "No its not. You shouldnt have to deal with my family problems. Sorry," she said and hopped up to sit on the counter.
Looking into his blue eyes, she pulled him close and kissed his cheek.

"Well, I guess it's kind of mandatory for me now," he chuckled a bit and kissed her forehead, "Besides, I want to help."
