"Alright," he raised a hand defensively, "I didn't mean anything by it. As long as he's alive though."
Mustang lied back in bed with a heavy sigh then she turned away from Althalos. Closing her eyes, she started to fall asleep without another word.
He just nodded, understanding that she could possibly be angry and just held her.
Mustang didnt move out of his hold and was soon dead asleep. The full moon's light was able to slip through a crack in the dark purple curtains hiding the window. A shadow flitted across it then the moon's light appeared once more.
Althalos watched the window, unable to go back to sleep. They were in the middle of a very tall hotel in the middle of Los Angeles. Nobody was gonna try scaling it right? It was probably just a bird. Althalos couldn't take his eyes off the window though and looked around for some kind of weapon just in case.
Well they did have a balcony outside since Mustang had practically got their best room. Another flitted across the moon's light then there was no other shadows. Everything stayed perfect normal until morning arrived.
Mustang slowly and sleepy blinked open her eyes sleepily. Looking around and listening for everything to tell her who was where and what was going on. It was a habit she had formed while dating Ryan. Everything unpredictable.

"Hello," Althalos said quietly as she lifted her head and looked around.
Mustang practically jumped out of her skin at his quiet voice behind her. Then she relaxed and turned her head to look at him. With a small smile, she kissed his lips gently. Loving the feel of havin Althalos close to her when she wakes up.
He gently and comfortingly stroked her hair, He had unplugged the lamp and was holding it behind his back with his other hand.
He lightly tapped his fingers down over her

Mustang saw his other arm behind his back and a brief moment of panic came to her eyes as a memory of Ryan came to mind. Then it was shoved away and curiosity took over.
"What do you have behind your back?" she asked questioningly and raised an eyebrow.

"I, um..." he sighed, "I kept on seeing shadows last night and got worried, so I grabbed the lamp," he admitted and smiled sheepishly.
Mustang couldnt help the laugh that escaped her and she held her stomach as she laughed so hard she started to tear up. Not knowing why she found it so funny, she finally gasped in air and layed back wiping the tears from her eyes a grin plastered on her face.
"I needed that." she said happily feeling alot better now.

"What? I don't have a baseball bat like I do at the dorm," he whined a bit but was smiling simply because he had been able to make her smile.
"Babe put the lamp back before you blind them," Mustang teased since a lamp wasnt too much of a threat. Then she sighed and sat up with a smile still gracing her lips. Two days until his broters funeral and she wasnt allowed to do much because of her leg.
"Blind who? Also, it's unplugged," he smirked, "Anyways, it's heavy metal. I could at least knock someone out."
Mustang smiled and looked over to Althalos. "Okay smart one but as far as I can tell there is no threat here," she said before getting up with the crutches. Sighing heavily, she leaned on them and managed to pull her hair back in a pony tail.
"Well what do you want for breakfast?" she asked while hobbling over to the kitchen. Instantly grabbing her pain pills and downing two with some water.

"Um, it's my job to make breakfast he smirked, "You can make me a sandwich later, how 'bout that?" he joked and stood up, tossing the lamp onto the bed.
Mustang raised an eyebrow but didnt protest to that idea. Instead she hobbled over to the couch and sat on it with a heavy, relieved sigh. Everything was starting to catch up to her now and shut put her head in her hands.
"Thank you," she said about making breakfast.
"Thank you," she said about making breakfast.
"Anything for you," he said and looked arpund the cabinets, "There's nothing here... Should we order room service?" he asked as a sudden thought popped into his head, "Hey? Shouldn't you be in Witness Protection or something?"
"Room service sounds fine. How aboouut choco chip pancakes with strawbewy sywup?" mustang asked in a kidish voice before smiling. It was her favorite.
As he mentioned witness protection, she visibly winced and looked out towards the window. "I refused when they offered. Its too much trouble," she said quietly knowing he wouldnt like it.
