There was of course food there, not much but some small cakes and lunch foods. All of Althalos' siblings and his deceased brothers friends were there, talking quietly.
Mustang pulled Al over to the food and ate a little of everything but the cake. Then she offered him a small smile before letting him lead again.
He turned down the food with a shake of his head, "I'm feeling kinda sick to the stomacb right now," he said quietly as his mother approached, wearing a mourners gown.
"Who is this lively young lady in the, um, odd funeral outfit?" she asked, trying to sound as polite and upbeat as possible then looked down at her leg, "And my Lord! What happened to you? You certainly look beat up."
"Mom, this is Anna. She's not wearing anything fancy because the moment I heard about him being in the hospital, she booked our flight here and we left immediately. Then there was a rather lengthy deal with something she can tell you of she'd like that involves why she's so beat up."

Mustang's smile dropped a bit when he turned away but she forced it back when Al's mom came back over. Though it looked genuinely real as she stuck out her hand to shake. "Hi mrs. Fizen. As you son introduced me, im Mustang Carver but most people call me Anna. Well about my leg i uh had a small accident with my dirt bike," she lied about her leg and forced a smile that told his mom that it was nothing serious.
Then she awkwardly glanced at her clothes compared to anyone elses. And the thought of Max being dead instead of seriously injured came to mind. Starting to tear up, she wiped them away and looked for a door outside.
"Excuse me I need to make a call," she said quietly and hobbled out on the crutches. Calling het dad to check up on Max. He was still in a coma and hadnt woken up yet but it scared her to think that he never would. The call lasted forty minutes and when she was through, she just sat on the sidewalk with her head in her arms and knees to her chest. Though one awkwardly fit there with the cast.

"Anna, don't lie," Althalos said quietly. There's going to be reporters coming over later today to speak with both of us.
"Lie?" his mother seemed confused.
"Alright, remember that news story a few days ago about the highway shooting/hostage situation? Anna was the hostage," he said.
"What?! That was you! Thank God you're okay!" she exclaimed.

Mustang scowled and looked away from them both. "I dont want to speak to reporters and maybe i dont want people to know," she hissed quietly to Althalos.
Her left eye twitched like it does when she is mad. Deciding she needed some air, she left both of them standing there and went outside. Leaning against the church wall, she sighed heavily then made up her mind. She was not going to speak to reporters.

"Anna?" Althalos looked out before giving his mother an apologetic look and running out after her, "Anna? They're my family! I'm not going to lie about something so serious!"
Mustang scowled and looked away. "Yea well have you ever thought that it was embarrasing enough that i was in that situation once before. I trusted you to keep it between us. I especially didnt want anyone to know that he did it again," she explained a little mad still.
With a heavy sigh, she looked away from him and shoved her hands in her short's pockets.

He stood in front of her and wrapped his arms around her back, "Anna, we just buried my brother. I can't lie to them, especially not now."
Mustang didnt reply but just stood there letting him hug her. It had still been important to her that it was kept on the down low. The last thing she needed was to worry about more people. The more that knew the more danger they would be in. Thats how Ryan worked.
"Stop telling people. You put people in danger that way. And im not talking to reporters," she said, obviously still upset though not nearly as much as before since she leaned into his hug.

"If you won't then I will. I heard that someone got a picture of his face and it's been sent to the news stations. It's gonna be all over Florida and California, the US actually. People will know his face. There's going to be a bounty on his head," he said calmly, "And if you don't talk... Anna, you're the eye witness, you're the one who has been through what he has done. You have rights."
Mustang suddenly jerked away from him and looked madder than she ever had efore. "Stop it Althalos. Stop telling people about my private past. I told you because i trusted you. I swear if you talk to those reporters i wont talk to you again. Your putting my family at risk and i wont have it," she said icily then turned and walked away. Taking out her phone, she started to call for a cab back to the hotel.
"Anna! I'm not going to tell anyone about the past! That doesn't matter anymore! What matters is that he tried to take you from me and that he killed a man! It's unavoidable!" Althalos gave her an incredulous look, "Do you just want him to roam free and remain a threat to us no matter where we go?!"
Mustang snapped her phone shut and turned back to Althalos, a frown creasing her features. "I care more about my familys well being than my own. I've always been more protective over other people than myself. Besides i cant loose anymore of my family to Ryan. Hes not a threat to you..." she murmured the last part and avoided his eyes. Staring at the grass like it was the most intresting thing in the world. Wincing as the pain in her leg started up again, she groaned softly in irritation as she realized she hadnt brought her pain pills. Leaning against the church wall for more support, she still avoided Al's eyes.
"Lets just get back inside and forget about this?" she questioned quietly.
"Lets just get back inside and forget about this?" she questioned quietly.
"I can't. I'll try but I can't. He's just as much a threat to me and my family because he's a threat to you and youre just as much a part of my family as my parents are," he said quietly and held her again.
Mustang put one of her arms around him and leaned into his embrace. Closing her eyes and slowly her breathing down until it was steady paced. Relaxed now, she kept her head on his chest and thought about everything.
"I wont talk to the reporters. Thats what im telling you now. I wont lie to your family if they ask but im not talking to reporters," she said firmly and with finality. There wasnt going to be budging her from her desicion.

"Fine, don't. I am though," he said quietly and held her tighter, not wanting to be pushed away.
Mustang tried to pull away but he held her tighter. "Fine but im not going to be in the same room with you," she said clearly unhappy.
"That's fine," he kissed her lips gently.
Mustang at first didnt kiss back then she put her hands on his chest and leaned into the kiss a bit. Kissing back gently, she couldnt help the smile tugging at the corners of her lips. Then when the kiss broke, she gently put her hand on his cheek.
"You know I love you, right Althalos?" she asked quietly and looked into his eyes.
