He smiled softly in his sleep but still didn't wake up and held her a bit tighter.

This woke him up and his eyes flashed open, looking very startled until he realized what was happening and leaned into the kiss.

Mustang smiled into the kiss an deepened it a bit. After a minute she broke it. "Welcome back babe," she whispered teasingly and with a smile.

"I wasn't asleep that long," healthier and gave her a tight squeeze.

"Good morning then," Mustang whispered with a smile and kissed his lips gently.

"Good morning to you too," he smiled and reluctantly swung his feet out of the bed.

Mustang moved off of him and sat up in the bed, leaning on the headboard of the bed. It was cloudy out and heavy with the smell of rain.

"What do you want for breakfast?" he stood up, "Also, your dad called to say that Max woke up and that he's doing well."

Mustang thought for a moment then smiled. "Pancakes!" she said excitedly. Then got off the bed and grabbed her cellphone. Kissing Althalos's cheek before she made her way out onto the balcony outside of their room. Calling her dad, she talked to him for a while and got an update on everything with Max and him.
Mustang told him about what happened with Ryan and held the phone away from her ear as her father started yelling threats about killing Ryan. Calming him down, she convinced him that she would be fine and if he would just stay away from Ryan all of them would be okay. Though it was plain in his voice that he wasnt going to just let this drop. "Dad! Stop! Leave him alone. We'll be fine if you ju-" she was cut off as her dad hung up on her. Cussing under her breath, she shut her phone and banged her head against the metal rail that she was leaning on.

"Pancakes are here," Althalos called from
Inside just as she finished talking and came out with a tray of steaming, chocolate chip pancakes, topped with whip cream.

Mustang let out a frustrated sigh but quickly covered up her frustration and worry as Al came out. A smile lit up her features as she turned to him. Walking over, she kissed his lips gently and smiled. "It looks wonderful," she complimented proudly an took her plate.

He gladly returned the kiss, having heard Anna's side of the conversation already. He sat down at the table on the balcony and set down two forks before he began to eat.
