The clouds finally opened a path for the sun to see through, after greeting the new day's morning with a thick rain. The drops that adorned every leaf in sight glittered as an answer to the light coming from above; the wild birds didn't delay much in welcoming the bright midday with their loud chirps, which people could argue to claim as the forest's "theme song".
Animals started to move out of their refuges again, some obviously more careful than others. An individual frog was just jumping in a random coordination, as if searching for something - It finally stopped near another bigger being, who was placidly sleeping under a huge leaf.
"Ribbit."
The curled up creature twitched one of her ears before opening both eyes slowly. The lioness just moved her head a bit in order to see whatever woke her up - She still wasn't conscious of her surroundings enough to identify the small, green one as a frog. The feline, then, stretched her arms and feet, with her lids still covering her sight - Later stood up with much difficult, as if her whole body felt like a potato bag... Only to bump her head against the leaf that protected her from the past rain, provoquing the water upon it to jump and spread, scaring the frog away once it wet the ground.
"Hrm... Noon already?" She muttered, a bit angsty at her head's sudden encounter with the leaf.
The girl looked at her surroundings, now that she's completely awake. The sky was clear, save for a few clouds; drops kept falling, but this time from the vegetation around. Taking a last look at the little lakes formed in the wet ground, she smirked.
"Ah just know dis' gonna be a neat day, yessir."
With this quick reflection, the confident lioness gave some steps foward - Sliding after her feet was surprised by a small lake she didn't see before, much to her dismay.

Well, the lioness wasn't the only one out there in the forest. Tarquin was taking a bit of a camping trip. He was happy to see it finally stopped raining and left the tent. He then looked for some dry kindling in the area. FInding none, Tarq knew he had to 'cheat.' He went back in his tent, to bring out a propane burner. he sat it down in the middle of the little stone circle he set up, turned it on, and lit it. Using a cast iron skillet, he began to mix up some pancake mix. Soon, the smells of pancakes would fill the air around him, and he had plenty to spare in case someone drops in, attracted by the smells.
Heavy steps made their way between wet fallen leafs, guiding their owner's body in a zig-zag motion to avoid yet another future sliding. Lions were naturally not found of water, and Arubi was no exception - Why was she in a sub-tropical forest to begin with, then? Well... That's a good question, even for her.
The girl won't stop mumbling, violently slapping any vegetation in her way... Sometimes resulting in a slap in the face from some plants. Her brows only rised once a delightful smell invaded the fresh air.
"... Food?"
Arubi turned her head towards all directions, with her ears perked and her nose trying to find the source of the smell as the growling inside her tummy became louder - She stood quiet after she seemed to find a tent in the distance. Now, her feet advanced slowly, her feline insctint kicking in; once near enough, Aru softly laid her paws between two huge leafs... Before popping her head out of them and yell

Tarquin jumped at the sound of someone yelling "Food." He hit the dirt! Laying on the ground looking at the direction her yelling came from. He stood up, taking a deep breath. "Ah, Hello ma'am." His voice was hickish, like he was plucked straight from Kansas and plopped in the woods. "I have plenty here, want to join me?" he asked, patting the rock right behind him. Apparently, Tarq was not afraid of her, once he recognize, that she wasn't a Japanese, (or any type) soldier. He was mixing up some fresh pancake batter to pour onto the skillet.
The lioness' tail swayed behind her eagerly. "Boy, do I!" Was her answer, before jumping right into the already indicated rock. After a while of paying exact attention to the cooking process, she turned an ear to a familiar sound.
"Can he join, too?" Arubi asked, with the same frog she encountered before in her paws.
