Hello all! I hope you the best this day! I was exploring the internet and found this lovely site and thought i would give it a go. I have some experience role playing from DnD/ pathfinder games as well as other similar sites. I mostly stick to fantasy but i like branching out so would be happy to try anything at least once. I hope to find people here to create interesting stories with.
I have a Siberian Husky for a pet named Ginko who is a big fluff ball. I work as a process engineer at a tissue mill. I hope and dream of living a place were snow is almost unheard of.
I am looking forward to talking with you all and creating adventures together.

Hey Juggler, welcome to RPR!
If you need any help navigating the site, I'd be glad to answer any questions you might have ^^

I do actually have a quick question... other than email how do the activity feed notifications show up? I've just been refreshing the page repeatedly because I haven't noticed anything that pops up when someone has responded to a thread....
Welcome to RPR! Are you subscribed to the thread? If you are you should be seeing notifications on your news feed for the thread. If not, you may have to send in a Bug Report.
As Loki said, you need to be subscribed (there's a big red button for it on the top and bottom of the page in every thread) to get notifications from it.
Welcome to RPR!
Ahh, another D&D player! What's your favourite class to play? In any case, I hope you find the site to your liking and stick around.

Thank you all for the welcomes! i appreciate it. I am subscribed and click specifically for no emails, just activity feed notifications... hmmm... I'll keep looking, probably just missing something simple.
@Yesinia: Thank you! my favorite class is the sorcerer. I like mainly that they are charisma based which I find is useful for progressing the story favorably for the players. I tend to be the one to talk my way around battles or such things. Though I also play a decent rogue as well.

Welcome to RPR! I hope that you find everything that you're looking for here! The people here are rather friendly, so finding rp shouldn't be super difficult.
I've always wanted a husky Also, you should think about moving to Georgia. It practically never snows.

@ilovedogs260: She is adorable and oddly calm for a husky pup. Georgia doesn't sound too bad, I'm in Maine currently and it's fairly cold out currently.
Is it common to stock pile characters and look for rps to put them in or is it okay to find rps and then make characters that fit them instead?

Either method is commonly practiced here, so it really makes no difference in which one you choose to do. ^^
(Though I personally use the second option a lot)

It's whatever you choose to do. I make my characters first, but when I was just beginning, I'd make characters specifically for rp. On this site, I think there's a mixture of both.
Also, I've always wanted to go to Maine! I hear it's pretty
Thank you! I think I'll stick to the second option. Makes me a little sad making characters that I may never breath life into due to not finding a rp for them.
@ilovedogs260: it is if you don't get to see nature a lot. Greet for hiking, camping, fishing, and other such things but being born and raised here it has gotten a little old. I am much more fascinated by cities than mountains at this point. Tall buildings and busy streets captivate me as much as staring over the top of a mountain does other people.

They're both nice sites. I do enjoy looking at city buildings, although I'm not so sure that living in a city will be fun, and I enjoy nature. It's beautiful!
Welcome to RPR!

Hello Juggle! Welcome to RPR!
Ohhhhh! I love Siberian Huskies! Perhaps care you show us them? I have two little dogs myself, and they're both Lhasa Apsos. I love them very much.
Anywho, while I'm not familiar with DnD myself, I know RPR has a pretty neat dice system you can use!
If you ever got any questions or feel like getting to know your fellow members, feel free to pop into OOC chat here! We're all a bunch of friendly nerds in there.
Hope you enjoy your stay!
