It's tricky when you have no money or can't find the right artist to make artwork of your character. You don't want to steal the hard work and money people put into their own artwork or commissioned works. So what do you do? Use awkward references saying "She kinda looks like this, but not really..."

There's a solution! My good friend Zhi first showed me this site some time ago. It's called MorphThing.

You can upload multiple photos of your own or use celebrity photos to combine their faces! It's a super handy tool that will allow you to get a pretty accurate reference for your character, male or female, so people know what their face looks like.

It's so perfect, cause I always think that my character is a cross between Scarlett Johansson and zooey deschanel. I can't wait to do this.

It doesn't work on my phone but I'm very eager to see how extortable this is. I purposely give borderline-inhuman features and want to see what I can do with the human face on this thing. Zenthus is impossibly sharp faced, ash is a bit abnormally blocky in structure. Finding the right features to play with could be fun!

You'll need to have existing photos containing those specific futures. It allows you to mesh photos, but not actually tweak features with editing. If you're going for inhuman references, you'll need photos of that to begin with.

Not entirely. Some features compile in an extraordinary way. Elfish, for example. You can find a sharp chin, or slanted jaw, but length of each only goes so far before it's hard to conjoin the features. some nose types don't logically fit with certain brow types, or it makes a depth of eyesocket that makes it tangibly "not quite human". So on. but with this perhaps a middle ground can be found.
