Hello!
Basically, I'd like to do a modern/horror/survival RP based on this game.
The idea is that your character is living in a society where everyone is forced to take a mind-numbing, memory-suppressing pill named Joy in order to forget the horrors of the past. On Joy, everything is immediately more happy and lively, just as the name suggests. It's a compulsory drug that the government makes you take- it's even included in water and some foods.
One day, your character forgets to take their Joy and the whole world feels like it's crashing down around them. Everyone around town is so happy.. but your OC isn't. For the first time in a long, long while, your character actually experiences sadness, anger, distress.. Every emotion which Joy takes away.
Very quickly, your OC starts to realize quite a few things. All of the food in the town is rotten- but because everyone is on Joy, no one notices. All of the houses look shabby, the streets look worn out- basically, the whole atmosphere seems dead.
Soon enough, members of society begin to realize that you've withdrawn from your Joy. They become quite hostile, chasing you all the way to the outskirts of town, where there is literally nothing. The landscape is practically dead. Your OC begins to wonder- are there more people out there like them?
In order to survive, your OC will need to go back into town and pretend to be on Joy, scourging for food, making weapons, robbing houses- doing whatever it takes to stay alive and learn about the town's disturbing past. Be wary, though- officials have been alerted that you're not taking the drug and they're looking for you 24/7. Who knows, maybe they'll find other people also not on their Joy?

On very, very, rare occasions there may be unexplained, POSSIBLY supernatural events. Minor "environmental" magic. Perhaps implies the existence of a deity or supernatural entity. Or perhaps it's just tricks?
Near future, perhaps cloning and genetic manipulation
More combat than not. The setting may be at war, and the characters will likely get involved whether or not they seek it out.
