"You are certainly not the first to have heard rumours of Ballad City. Not by a long mile. You've heard the stories of monsters in the sewers and humanoid beasts walking the streets, haven't you? The werewolf colony in the subway; the Yōkai in the urban districts? And the bar known as Diamond Heights, which is said to welcome all kinds of heathens. So what business do you have here, stranger? Be you human or inhuman, all are welcome under the watch of Ballad City. You'll be respected so long as you show respect, and that includes respect for your bar tab."

Good evening all! I'm looking to start up a group roleplay involving all kinds of denizens cohabiting a large city. I expect creatures of all varieties (keeping in mind that the less humanoid will struggle to fit in with human societies), including anything from demonic mages to outer-space evolutions. Perhaps what I'm looking to create is an amalgamation of shared universes, if you will.

The character I will be using is Alistair, the owner and bartender of Diamond Heights, a popular bar which is well-known and used by his outlandish peers. Your characters can be human if you'd like, and may also be an existing tenant or newcomer.

I ask that you give me a little pitch of your character (nothing wild!) which gives me a little overview of themselves and a general idea of what their role within the city would perhaps involve.

I really hope to hear from a few people!

I would like to join! the character i would use would be Cuckoo McKlockwork a toon escque robot with many strange abilities(nothing overpowered or reality breaking other than summoning his weapons from basically nowhere) his attitude is a bit nasty but his heart is in a good place (most of the time) he is fun loving, adventurous and funny ( at least i think so)

Lovely! Any idea on what he'd be doing within the city?

i imagine he`d be some sort of vigilante, or any job where he can stay on his feet

Luna is young werewolf who tends to stay by herself. She lived in a small town in Germany for most of her life and she became a werewolf when she was 10. She did not ever intend to leave the town where she lived, but one day one of the townsfolk witnessed her transform and soon the towns people came to her house to try and kill her. They burned down her cabin and tried to kill her. Luckily Luna was able to escape and run to the house of witch who lived in the forest. The witch, who was a friend of Luna, said that she could help Luna by transporting her somewhere safe. Luna agreed and the witch used a spell to teleport the werewolf to Ballad City.

Luna wants to stay in the city because it is the only place she is safe. She usually stays by herself because she is afraid of losing control and accidentally hurting people and she also is afraid that people will find out she is a werewolf. She does odd jobs and anything she can do to earn some money.

Dylan, for the most part, is a witch, but he looks like a normal human. He's been bouncing from town to town, trying to find a place to call home. (Read his backstory to see what made him start wandering from town to town. And despite his backstory, he's actually really nice) But being a witch isn't what makes him interesting, that's only the beginning.

He actually has, infused with his soul, a demon, who has no name, but Dylan call's him insulting names. Overall, they get along fine, but they do have their differences and every now and than the demon will try to take over Dylan's body. But with the two being infused at the soul, Dylan can actually tap into his demonic companion's powers and can even transform into said demon. Powers aren't nothing to serious, just enhanced senses, speed, strength, agility, flight (Mainly because of the wings), and allows his magic to become more powerful. Although he can't do it for long, a few minutes at the most before it get's hard to keep the demon from taking control. So while sounding powerful, he can't really use the powers to their fullest without letting go of his control over his body.

And Dylan will do just about any job he can find as long as it pays well.

Lupus is a rather young looking man with solid red, glowing eyes and long snow white hair. the most striking thing about him would be his long, golden furred tail. In his universe, he is the god of retribution, son of the legendary Cynder Shadows, goddess of death. He often travels to gain wisdom and information. He loves learning.

Great to see such interesting characters! I'm looking forwards to this.

Lily is a sweet young woman with pink hair and purple eyes. She is half siren, and half shapeshifter with the ability to turn into a flamingo. She is an incredible singer and dancer, with powers that use those skills, though they are passive abilities that she doesn't really know about. I imagine she would be working somewhere she can entertain as a way to earn money.

I could throw Fawkes into the mix, haven't been able to useh im much.

Fawkes is a Revenant Knight from the medieval period. He's hunting down the man responsible for his death, who'd managed to become immortal. Perhaps he could live in the city when he's not out looking for his killer? As for what purpose, possibly a vigilante or some form of local law enforcement.

I'd probably use Erso, my 7 foot tall travelling doctor and biologist of unknown species, definitely in the area to investigate the rumours of the towns special diversity. He's a nice guy and will probably get mugged honestly but I love him anyway.
