Devi Sephiran is the eldest daughter of the Sephiran family. A family that dates back centuries and has a presence as one of the five founding families for The Raven's Nest coven of witches. (More details on the coven can be found on Devi's page.)
Devi is a character that is intended for modern day with fantasy influence. The Sephiran, along with a few other families from the Coven, are currently situated within modern day, New York City. Their goal is to create connections with bigger companies and expand their coven's influence from the shadows. The coven is a peaceful sort, not one to cause direct harm to another being without scarring themselves. Devi has lived most of her life studying and surrounded by magic, her time in New York is going to be the first she's actually experienced what people without magic do in their daily lives.
I'm strongly seeking humans to interact with Devi, though I won't turn down any other supernatural being! Whether you're a simple human that could interact and guide Devi, unknowing of her background and give her the experience of what a normal life looks like. Or you're a witch(or wizard) with untapped potential and seek a mentor to help hone your talents, Maybe Devi could be that mentor you seek! Regardless, I'm sure we can come up with something for a great scene!

Magic is fairly common. Players and NPCs important to the tale may have it. Mistborn.

Unrest may be part of the setting, but any scenes that happen to involve combat may be summarized.

I have a witch here with her own opinions as to what she thinks is appropriate for magic users to do, and Devi's life in New York is in direct opposition to many of those ideals, enough for her to intervene. Things miiight get violent, especially with her apprentice by her side.

I'm interested, Nick here is my "ordinary human" character and he's quite the skeptic, so I think introducing him to the world of magic would make for some interesting interactions.
