Welcome to Against the Odds. A tale of adventure and hardship is set upon you young adventurer. The world of Garendale is one full of frightening beasts and horrible weather now. An ancient evil has thrown the land into a deep darkness Men cut each other to the bone over the smallest bit of coin. Children go hungry Worst yet when heroes of legend are struck with curses that hinder them what hope does this world have?
Your quest is to gain legendary artifacts and cure your curses. Defeat the evil that storms through Garendale and become the heroes you once were.
I will prebuild the heroes, but after that you are free to progress them how you like. You may pick Gender/Race/Name/Age. What they look like, clothing they wear.
Weapons, stats and such are decided by me.
Meet the Heroes:
The Barbarian: Once stronger than the largest of giants the Barbarian now is frail. The strength sapped from his bones he can barely put up a fight. How can he be a hero without his great strength?
The Wizard: Once a powerful spell slinger, evil cowarded at her spells but that was before the curse. Her spells are more than likely to fail, maybe not hit, or even redirect to her. What is a wizard to do without the aid of magic?
The Rogue: A thief that stole from the pockets and evil men. A quite and swift shadow in the darkness was she until the curse befell her. Now she glows like a lantern, and her feet jingle like the bells of a store. How does a thief steal without her stealth?
The Cleric: A healer among healers. People came far and wide to heal their sick, their wounded, and to get the gods on their side. What happens when this clerics faith is tested? Sometimes the gods forget to listen. What happens when he is the one who needs healing? A cleric of poor health and tested faith, how can he ever hope to overcome evil again?
I'm posting this to get interest. If you're interested state the role you want to play. The gender of your character. Their name. Age. And race.

Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.

Well. A druid and a rogue are different classes. I'd feel better if you want to join you'd just follow the instructions in the original post and create a new character.
