(Instead of chest it said chewy )
"Good night Camden," he gently brushed some hair out of her face and kissed her forehead as she fell asleep.
"Good night Camden," he gently brushed some hair out of her face and kissed her forehead as she fell asleep.
About an hour later Camden woke up nd saw that Archur was sleeping. She stood up and got her bag and stood up to walk away.
He was a very light sleeper now, especially with the whole nightmares business and that small movement woke up, thinking that it was some other kind of nightmare creature. He sighed when he realized it was only Camden, "Where are you going?"
She came to an abrupt stop and said,"Uh....... No where.", she said, walking back to Archur. "I felt bad about not letting you be able to do what you needed to do about your nightmares, and I was planning to leave so you could whatever you needed.", she said limping over to him and collapsing into his lap and hugging him.
"No, you're fine. I want you to stay," he returned the hug, holding her tightly to his chest, one hand on the back of her head. "We do need to go though. This next one is slow but comes in very large numbers and I don't have any kind of weapon against them since swords don't work particularly well against them."
"What is the next monster?", she asked, standing up. She said, "I bet a bow wouldn't do well against them would it?"
"Probably not. It's a zombie hoard," he sighed as he started to hear moans in the distance, 'They're slow but in large numbers," he picked her up, the leg he had splinted sticking straight out to the side.
"Dang, then what are we going to do with one weapons that won"t work on Zombies?", Camden ask, putting her arms around Archur's neck, to make sure she wouldn't fall. She sounded worried and looked over Archur's shoulder, just to make sure they weren't right behind them.
"I don't know... In the nightmare, there was a concrete shelter and you were in it, and I was running towards it, but just as I got to the door, they got me. It was not fun at all."
"Please don't let that happen to you.", Camden said, "Because who am I kidding, I don't have much to contribute right now.", she continued, looking down at her splintered leg.
"Don't worry, I won't let anything touch you," he assured her as the moans of the shambling undead got louder.
"Oh damn.", Camden said slowly as she looked back over Archur's shoulder again. Off in the distance on what was left of the trail after the explosion yesterday, were lines and lines of zombies. Some of the zombies even rode horse zombies or were walking beside zombies that looked like dogs. "Now would be a good time to have Raven.", she whined. "What are we going to do now?", Camden asked, looking up to Archur for an answer.
"I'm gonna look for shelter and pray that I don't trip," he said and started jogging. He looked back once and had to laugh: the horse zombie's legs were simply not strong enough to carry themselves and riders and the limbs snapped off of them and their riders got off and walked like the rest of the undead.
Camden laughed at this too. "Sucks to be them.", she said. "Are you looking for the concrete shelter from your nightmare?", she asked, looking around. "What is that?", she asked pointing to what looked like a pile of concrete. "Is that it?", she asked.
"If that's it then we're both gonna die," Archur said as he jogged towards it and let out a sigh of relief to see it wasn't actually concrete but a pile of rocks and he started moving again.
"Thank goodness.", said Camden as she let out the breath she had been holding. "I was hoping that that wasn't it also.", she said. She looked over Archur's shoulder and said, "I don't see them anymore Archur, jogging must be working."
He slowed to a walk, "They'll be back soon," he muttered, "They never stop coming."
"What I wouldn't give to have a gun and a horse right now.", Camden sighed. She let go of Archur's neck and let her arms hang limp by her body. She smelled her shirt and said, "And I wouldn't give for a bath right now. My shirt smells like smoke from the explosion yesterday." She glanced over at a stream nearby then thought to herself, "Archur would never go for it." Then sighed again.
He followed her gaze, "It's probably contaminated by the ash and radiation from the explosion."
"Yeah your probably right.", she admitted. "I think I may be able to walk for a little while.", Camden said, looking at Archur.
