Archur was unconscious and had several IV's hooked up to him and a lot of wires attached to his body when suddenly the heart monitor showed that his heart rate was speeding up rapidly and then it made the long, drawn out beep that meant the heart had stopped and it could be heard in Camden's room.
"Clear!" a doctor shouted as he pressed defibrillators to his chest.
"Clear!" a doctor shouted as he pressed defibrillators to his chest.
"Archur!" She called. The nurse restrained her and promised her everything would be alright. Tears rolled down her face and she kept telling herself he was going to be ok.
"Clear!" the doctor yelled again and this time a single beep was heard before it went back to the flat line, "Clear!" now three beeps, "We're getting him back! Clear!" now ten beeps. The doctor shocked him two more times before his heart started beating normally again.
Camden was still being restrained by the nurse when she heard his heart monitor start beeping again. She almost immediately became calm. The nurse took off her restraints and took her to Archur's room.
He was still unconscious but he was breathing. The IV's and wires were still attached to his body and the doctors were working hastily around him.
The doctors asked Camden to leave the room. They said they would call her in when he was completely stable .
About an hour later, Camden was called in. Archur was awake, but only barely.
"Hey." She said quietly, entering the room. Archur was barely awake. She sat down on the chair next to his bed.
"Hey," he said quietly, his voice raspy, "Thank you for staying with me... I love you Camden."
She blushed but then said, "Archur, that's not true. Your all loopy on all this medicine". She shifted in her chair.
"No, I mean it with all my heart," Archur protested, "Camden, I love you an I never want to leave you."
"I love you too.", she said with a smile. She sat on the foot of his bed and said, "So, how are you feeling?"
"Sick, tired, in pain... A bit loopy, you're right, but that's probably just making me honest."
"Yeah, that's what I figured", She said. She pulled up her leg to show him her cast, "My leg's feeling a lot better".
"I would hope so now that you don't have a metal rod and some rope holding it straight."
"Yeah.", she said, moving back to her chair. "When do you think we'll be able to leave here?", she asked.
"You, probably later today, I have no idea how long it'll take me. I almost died an hour and half ago... Actually, I was dead. I'll be in here for two weeks at least."
"That sucks.", she sighs. She stood and said,"I need to go take more pain medicine." She stood up and limped back into her room.
The nurse gave her some pain killers and told her to lay down.
She looked out her window and sighed and she saw the cops talking to a man in a tow truck. "Oh great, they are going to tow our car.", she thought to herself.
