"J-just don't move, alright," he said and looked around. He grabbed a thick tree branch and some rope out of his bag, "This is probably gonna hurt a lot," he said and pushed down on her broken leg, realigning the bone and then removed her sock and shoe on that leg so that he could tie the branch to her leg and thigh.

She screamed louder than she had on the whole adventure. She held back tears and let Archur fix her leg. "Okay.", I won't move she said. "What about more head?", she asked, "It's not bleeding anywhere.", she said. Her eyes wet with tears from Archur resetting the bone.

"That's a good thing but I think you most likely have a concussion. Do you know how you landed?"

"How I landed? Do you mean like face down or what?", she asked. She tried to stay calm when he mentioned a concussion.

"No, did you land on your head or your back or you butt? How?"

"Oh, I landed on my back... but when you landed on me, my head snapped back and hit the ground pretty hard. That's when I actually passed out. Not when I hit the ground.", Camden explained. Her ability to speak was returning nicely. She could speak about three to four senteces but took a moment or two to think.

Archur nodded; he needed to get her mind off of these things, "Camden? What did you mean when you called me your boy?"

Her face turned dark red, "Well, the whole time we've beesn in this first, you were always looking out for me and taking care of me and even though I kept denying it to myself,I realizesd that I...I love you", she says, turning away from him

Archur's eyes went wide and his cheeks bright red; how could that be possible? Yes, he had been looking out for her, but he had only known her for a day and half at most. He had no idea how to respond to that; she was very attractive and kind and he most certainly liked her, but he couldn't say that he loved her, at least not yet.
His mouth opened and closed as if he was trying to say something but no words came out of his mouth and he just held her tightly to his chest.

"Hey, my head doesn't hurt that bad anymore. Maybe we can ride- I mean walk somewhere to find shelter. And won't. there be a new.. monster tomorrow?", Camden had now fully regained the ability to speak. And so far, she hadn't had another vision to bring back her splitting head ache.

"No, you still need to rest," he said, "How's your leg? And yes, there will be something new tomorrow and right now I hope we're going the wrong way, because if not, you can expect something much worse than the biomass."

"I don't want to even know what's worse than the biomass" Camden said . She thought for a moment and. said, "On a scale from 1-10,my leg is probably a 4 or 5.", she said.

"You sure?" he asked, not wanting to make her do anything she couldn't.

She sighed, "Okay, I lied, it's probably more like a 6 or 7. I felt like I was holding you back and keeping you from doing what you wanted.", she said looking at him.

"It's something I need to do, but it can wait," he gently stroked her hair as he said this.

"What do you need to do?", Camden asked. "I can hide in the trees until you get back.", she suggested.

"I need to go and find out what's causing my nightmares to come to life but I'm not going to leave you here, and besides, there are no trees or bushes," the area around them was burnt and brown, not from the explosion but from the heat wave that had blasted through the area.

"Good point", she said weakly. "I really don't want to meet anything worse than the biomass", she said snuggling. her head into Archur's chest.

"Neither do I..." he sighed and rested his chin on her head; he definitely had feelings for her, but he wouldn't call it love.

She also sighed and said, "I think I might try to get some rest" S.he closed her eyes and almost immediately fell asleep, she though right before the fell asleep about leaving so Archur wouldn't have to deal with her anymore
