Space is big. So big in fact that the idea of two spacefaring vessels crossing each other's path by sheer accident is ridiculous in how incredibly unlikely it is.

And yet, here we are. Greensinger's "spaceship" - an abominable mishmash of scavenged parts from other ships, held together by vines and mutant plant matter - is apparently adrift, emitting no signals and responding to no hails. And it's right there, smackdab in the other vessel's path.

Maybe there's treasure within!

Soric leaned back in his chair as he looked at the vessel on his screen. He'd just concluded a little business on a nearby planet but when he came up his ship had left without, with only a small message reaching him that they'd be back later... Now here he was in his small shuttlecraft, pretty much stranded with his defective warp-drive.

Just for posterity he did one last life-scan, once again all that came up was plant-based life. Nothing to worry about and the source of it was clear to see. "Maybe it has some parts I can use..." The large-lobed ferengi mused. "Arh, why not?"

Curiosity had gotten the better of him, he quickly locked his transporter to an open spot his scanners had picked up and then laid a connection to the intellipad on his wrist. Before beaming he made a few adjustments to his phaser and then finally he pressed the button on his pad that beamed him to the ship.

Soric finds himself in a moss and vine-covered hallway. All the lights have been destroyed by whatever invasive plantlife has taken over the ship, but luckily there are a few sources of light; pods and blooming flowers that emit a soft green glow. Sadly, there seems to be little to salvage; even if there's anything worth taking from what looks like a derelict ship like this, it'll take a lot of digging through alien plants to find out.

At the end of the hallway, a vaguely humanoid figure runs by, disappearing from view almost as quickly as it appeared. Maybe something out there noticed Soric's presence? It's hard to tell.

At the sight of what appeared to be a figure Soric took a step back and adjusted his phaser, setting it on the stun setting. Perhaps the mutated plants had hidden whatever life-form this was from his scans.. and still was as his visor didn't pick anything up either, although a quick replay did confirm something had indeed moved.

"Hey!" Soric shouted through the ship, keeping his eyes and ears open for any sign of movement. "I don't mean you any harm. Lets talk about it." The ferengi said as he proceeded. He stopped moving and changed the setting of his visor through the pad-attached on his arm, changing the visual filter to an echolocation-based system that should draw the outline of any solid shapes the echo's bounced back from.
