I recently got caught up through Season 6 of Game of Thrones, plus I decided to reread A Song of Ice and Fire.
One of my favorite things about the show and the books is the number of theories and surprises that it brings forth. If there are any other GoT and ASOIF fans out there, I'd love to hear and discuss your favorites!
I think my favorite theory is from ASOIF, saying that Daario Naharis is actually Benjen Stark in disguise, gone to bring the dragon queen home to fight the Others. And while we know that isn't the case in the TV show, George R R Martin has explicitly stated that, in the books, Coldhands is not Benjen!
To me, it stands to reason that Daario and Benjen could be the same person, especially if Benjen knew the truth about Jon's parentage, which is a secret I don't see Ned keeping from him.
My second favorite theory, and this one is a little bit of a tin pot one that I concocted myself, is that the Red Star crashing into Westeros will fulfill the criteria for Drogo's return.

***SPOILER ALERT***
Seriously, crazy spoilers.

The first part sounds like a meteor impact to me
"When the sun rises in the west and sets in the east," said Mirri Maz Duur. "When the seas go dry and mountains blow in the wind like leaves. When your womb quickens again, and you bear a living child. Then he will return, and not before."
