Animation is often underappreciated. Thanks for making this thread so people can share!
Sleep Dealer has a really cool art style! I'll have to check out the others, although I've seen Stephen Fry videos in school seminars before.
My contributions:
Blackwater Gospel- lots of graphic violence in this one, so be careful. It's about a mysterious undertaker and a god-fearing backwater community.
ROSE- I send this one to cyberpunk and biopunk enthusiasts. There's some minor violence. It's really intriguing and has beautiful visuals. The story is very vague and people argue about if there even is one, but tbh I'm happy to just watch it and draw my own conclusions.
CALDERA- "CALDERA is inspired by my father's struggle with schizoaffective disorder. In states of delusion, my father has danced on the rings of Saturn, spoken with angels, and fled from his demons. He has lived both a fantastical and haunting life, but one that's invisible to the most of us. In our differing understanding of reality, we blindly mandate his medication, assimilate him to our marginalizing culture, and entirely misinterpret him for all he is worth. CALDERA aims to not only venerate my father, but all brilliant minds forged in the haunted depths of psychosis."
On a more humorous note:
The Adventure Zone: Magic Lessons- because I'm a huge nerd, not only do I play multiple D&D campaigns, but I listen to a D&D podcast on my down time, lmao. It's three (adult) sons and their dad having a good time, the story and music are awesome, and I highly recommend it! Some of my other favourite scenes that've been animated are Taako doesn't want to steal, Jenkins, and Meet cute.
(not spoiler or swear-free; also, Meet Cute has some sexual themes)
Hardest Boss EVER- an older Game Grumps animation with a very pleasing art style. Watch a man lose all hope and scream at a plant. Warning: swearing.
Nova Stops a Murder- some ye olde gmod shenanigans. Shazam has a really distinctive art style. She's improved a lot over the years! Warnings: swearing, blood. Also, Nova is a Cannibal.
Edit: I'm adding Griffin and Nick Make the World's Worst Horror Game even though it's an unconventional animation. One of the guys DMs for the D&D podcast I linked to above. He does another podcast with his friend where they just design awful videogames and it's really amusing to me idk
