I very new to the whole role playing thing I want to know all the abbreviations(pm,oc,ooc,ic,etc). I want to learn all these things to be a good role player. thank you for your help

Those abbreviations are private message, original character, out of character, and in character! and et cetera but I'm pretty sure you didn't mean that too LMAO

To expand on what Tigless said, when you talk out of character in a roleplay you usually do it (like this) or OOC: like this. It helps keep everything neat and stops people from getting confused.
