Lukas put his hand on the pewter cross he wore, a remnant of the life he once had back at the Grimoire estate. He wondered if he should go home, even if only for a little while. As he was thinking his father's ranting came back into his mind, making him discard that idea.
Luna decided to make sure the cross on her neck wasn't crack. She pulled it out from under her shirt, it was a black cross with a silver lining around it, and in the center was a blood red ruby. The cross was her life line, if it were to break she would be dead physical, if the ruby to break her soul would dead. Either way she was dead if it were to break. She looked the cross over and didn't see any new cracks and sighed in relife.
Lukas sighed and stood, shoving his hands in his pockets. "Going back would be pointless.." He muttered and walked back into the club, sitting at the bar and pouring himself a glass of wine. He was starting to drink more and more, or so he thought. Perhaps he was trying to drown his sorrow as most people do by drinking.
Luna hid her necklace under her shirt collar. Unlike most people when she felt sorrowful she wouldn't drink, she would dig her nails into her arms since she healed so fast it didn't matter, no one ever saw her in the act so she never got caught. She dug her nails in her arm, letting the pain wash the memories away. She had bearly drew a drop of blood before she removed her nails from her arm. She slumped back against the back of the couch, her arm healing at it's normal rate.
Lukas laid his head on the bar, closing his eyes and sighing. He didn't know what to do anymore, he liked being a host but he was slowly losing interest in it. He wanted something more in life, but he had no idea how he would get that something, or if it was worth it.
Luna started to think about how she could try to patch things up with her family that still lived but no matter what nothing seemed to work. Her father wanted nothing to do with her, and her mother wanted nothing more to have her back as a daughter but couldn't. She let out an angry sighed. "Stupid man, selfish, and tearing his own family apart..." She grumbled about her father and his way of living life.
Lukas soon found himself dozing off, the wine in his system making him sleepy. He fell asleep, hoping his boss wouldn't mind him sleeping at the bar. If he did, well then he might get a slight reduction in his pay, not that he cared about that.
Luna sighed, and decided it was hopeless. "If only he would get passed his damn kingdom then he cold see that he has hurt the family he wanted and that he doesn't have an hier to his kigdom. she though to herself, her mind moving to her poor mother with a broken heart and broken dreams.
Lukas slept at the bar till morning, the sun shining into the club through the tinted windows. "Ugh.." He lifted his head up, yawning and looking around. "Ah crap.." He got a wash cloth and wiped the bar down where he had been sleeping and went to check on how Luna was doing down in the apartment.
Luna had fallen asleep a few minutes before the sun was up, of course on the couch. She looked actually peaceful when she slept, like there wasn't chaos in her life. She never dreamed in her sleep anymore, not after her brother's death and the though of everyone thinking she did it.
Lukas smiled a bit at the sight of Luna sleeping and walked back up to the club, waiting for his boss to get up to open it for the day. Not that anyone really came to the club during the early part of the day, unless they needed a drink or asked for directions.
Luna was a light sleeper but the fight with the demon really tired her out to where even the loudest of noises wouldn't wake her. The only thing that came to her in her sleep were fragments of her lost memories, which were meaningless to her since it was all during the time before she was outcasted.
