Nodding, she assessed her opponent. Though many angels wouldn’t think humans could beat them due to their increased speed, strength, endurance, and healing qualities, Wisteria never jumped to such conclusions. Anyone could fight if they really worked for it.
“Hand-to-hand, or are weapons allowed?” The angel took her stance.

"Don't know yet. We'll just have to wait for the instructor to start shouting crap at us." The blue haired fellow said, "The name's Marth, and you are?"
People began to partner up and they were ready to begin.

“Wisteria Doveless,” she answered, hand resting on the hilt of her blade as she waited for the teacher to finish his instructions to the class. She wondered if magic was allowed like back at the Academy.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, miss." Marth smiled before turning to the instructor.
"We're going to be working defending ourselves. Using whatever you can, be it magic or weapon, you will defend one another against the incoming wave of opponents."

“So we’re not fighting one another,” Wisteria said, speaking her thoughts out loud.
She grabbed her blade and readied it, holding the hilt so that the blade was parallel to her arm in front and slightly below her face.

Marth drew his sword, the freshly polished sword shined under the bright lights in the gym. "You ready for this, Wisteria?" He asked, going into a fighting stance.
"Yup." Her eyes swept the teens ready to rush at them, assessing their weaknesses from a distance.
One nursed his left ankle, indicating a sprain. A girl squinted behind her glasses, showing poor eyesight. Perhaps a little near-sighted.

Marth watched the approaching students with sharp, focused eyes. His sword was ready to fly at any moments, with a smirk, he readied to parry off as many attacks as he could.
As soon as they came within striking distance, Wisteria slammed her foot down on the boy with the bad ankle. He cried out, but couldn’t finish as the angel brought her knee up without pause, and connected the blow to his chin. She pushed him down, moving on to the next teen.
The near-sighted girl tried to land a hit to her temple with a wooden staff, but Wisteria blocked with her arm, grabbed it with her other hand, and yanked it forward. The girl, unable to make out her movements fast enough, was jerked forward into the angel’s awaiting fist.

Marth used his Double Edge Dance, the sword flashed brightly in multiple colors as he began to ward off multiple attacks, hitting his opponents with the hilt of the sword to knock them out. "This is a bit more fun that I would've figured." Marth's high speed gave him the upper hand against the majority of the opponents. He was able to keep up on the offense while taking little damage.
Expression blank and eyes calculating, Wisteria never cut any of the people she fought against but broke bones and knocked them out if they continued coming at her. She was trying to refrain herself, not wanting to seriously injure any of them.
They didn’t need to know how trained she was, and they weren’t siding with the demons, though most probably had no idea about the silent war between the angels and demons.

Marth was a bit less merciful, some students were seriously injured when he hit them, some had minor cuts on various areas on their bodies. He battled like he was used to killing, it seemed to take every ounce of his strength to refrain from killing them.
It didn’t take the pair long to finish off their opponents. Wisteria was hardly sweating at all. For some reason or another, she had chosen to not use Old Gellic as the situation had been fairly easy compared to fighting three or four Level D demons by herself.
Soon, they were the last ones standing. "That was easy enough..." Marth twirled his blade, sheathing it. "How're you holding up, kid?" He smiled at her.
The instructor was impressed by their strength together.

"Normal," Wisteria answered, putting her knife back in its holster. She had to admit, this kid could fight better than some of the Academy students she often sparred with.

"You're stronger than I had initially thought. You're an amazing fighter. Your skill with the knife is awesome!" Marth praised.
"You two go ahead and rest, you've passed with an A."

"You're good, too. Just stop leaning your weight before a slash to match your thrust, and you'll be fine." That was about as close to a compliment Wisteria ever came, her expression one of respect.
Marth smiled, "Thank you. I'll keep that in mind, miss. Your speed and precision was amazing to watch, you moved so gracefully, it was like watching an angel fight." Suddenly, he remembered his bounty letter. "Perhaps you could help me with something?"
Internally, Wisteria cringed at the word 'angel', but kept her outward appearance neutral. "Depends on what that is."
"I've been sent to go towards Mt. Royai to stop some slave trade or something. I'm to kill the leader and any slavers there." Marth responded, smiling.
