"Alright..." The assistant handed them both a sack of gold coins, hurrying them back out.

"Finally, I've got enough." Marth's face lit up, he jumped up a bit.

The angel blinked silently at him and raised an eyebrow, obviously confused.

He handed her a few notes, "I've been saving up to rent a small boat for a trip to the fabled land of Canis Majoris. I've studied the ancient texts for years and finally pinpointed its approximate location. According to the legends, if one completes the seven trials, one could obtain eternal life." Marth sounded insane.

“Eternal life?” she asked, more than a little skeptical. “There’s only one person who’s immortal, and she’s a shade. No person -human, angel, and demon alike- can reach that state without a price.”

"Have you ever heard the legends of the Eternal Goddess?" He asked, "According to these legends, if you manage to collect seven feathers and bring them to her shrine, she will bestow upon you the Eternal Feather, which can grant its user immortality, well sort of anyways."

“’Sort of,’” she repeated, crossing her arms. “Let me guess, there’s a catch to use it.”

"You're immune to poisons, diseases, and your body will freeze at whatever age you are. If you manage to obtain the feather at 20 years old, you will remain that age for eternity. However, your body can still fall to physical damage like stab wounds." He explained.

“The shade can’t be killed like that. No matter how many times you stab her, or if she falls ill, she heals instantly. She’s also been 17 for over 340 years now.”

"This continent disappeared from the records some 400 years ago. It's going a fun adventure I think." Marth said as he got his stuff together. "Well, Wisteria, it's been fun. I'll be seeing you."

She shrugged, putting her reward in her shoulder bag. “Likewise. And try not to die,” the angel teased, letting her serious demeanor drop for the first time, then it went back up again.

"...Perhaps we could go after this thing together. You're an exceptional fighter and I'd love to continue working with you." Marth offered, smiling at her.

"..." She put a hand in her pocket, touching the device she used to talk with Derek, who was back at the Academy. "..Let me check on some things, okay?"

"Alright, just take your time. You needn't decide by tonight, it can hold off until tomorrow." Marth smiled at her.

“Alright. Where are we staying in the meantime?”

"There's a small hotel nearby if you'd like to stay there."

“Yeah, that’ll work.” Wisteria was glad she had a lot of money from all her successful missions, and she had never failed a single one in her 20 years in the field.

Marth headed towards the hotel, booking them a room. "It ain't the best in the city, but it'll do for the night." Heading up in his room, he removed his armor, wearing a pair of shorts and a shirt underneath.

The teen -in angel years- took her things to her own room, only unpacking what she would need for the night and morning to come. Once she was settled, she used magic to make the device contact Derek Roman.

“Yes?” a man asked, obviously multitasking over the line.

“I have a question…”

Marth was busy recleaning his armor, using the same solution she told him about, the red splotches of blood made it look fairly dull, "Red and blue...a disgusting combo.... Who am I to talk? The inside of my cape is red..." He continued mumbling to himself for a few hours.
