"I'd like to see you try it, ya big oaf." Kyoya says, glaring back at the man.

The other campers have various weapons on them, but none of them seem to know any magic.

"That book of yours and probably your swords will go for quite a bit on the black market, crap from witches go for a lot 'round these parts." One of the smaller bandits chime in.

Moon growled in response, her narrowed eyes seething with irritation. “That’s because we don’t tolerate being pushed around.”

Another man laughed. “Look! She thinks she’s threatening! You’re too frail to put up a good fight,” he mocked.

"...I'd shut up if I were you. The 'frail' girl's tougher than you would think." Kyoya warns them.

"What do you know? You're probably just her lil' boyfriend, so of course you're defending her." He laughs at the two, another member shoots an arrow at them as a warning.

Moon Drop's eyes turn blue, but -unlike before- they stay that way. Her hands balled into fists. "Mvobij," she said.

The ground near the edge of the cliff cracked apart like glass shattering, sending the men shooting arrows to run to stable ground. The arrows themselves were knocked out of the air by falling rocks.

"See, I warned ya..." Kyoya said annoyed.

"...We'll be on our way this time, but next time y'all won't get off so easy." One of them says as the group runs off in the opposite direciton.

The teen raised her hand her hand, ready to hit them with another spell. "Cowards," she hissed.

They were far enough away to avoid the majority of the spell.

"I'm really glad we're on the same side." Kyoya says with a laugh.

Moon glanced at him for a second before looking back at the men. “They can’t attack us if I kill them now.”

"Well, let's get them then!" He uses his ring shoot a blast of fire directly at them, awaiting for her to follow up with an attack.

“’Thought you’d never ask,” she replied. Saying the spell she learned in Advanced Defense, she makes a blue wall in front of the group to prevent their escape.

"I guess we have no chance but to fight these two lovers!" The leader said in a teasing manner, rushing toward them with their weapons in hand.

He creates a poison cloud that surrounds the bandits, slowing their movements, "Alright, Moon, finish it!" He shouts at her.

“Gladly.” Handing him her spell book, the witch stared at the slowed humans. She began singing in Ogojohat.
“{Hush, my dears. Let thy not weep. Lay down your fears, and let thine eyes rest. Cold seeps into your bones at my will, and you grow colder still.
Fated you are now by my hand tonight. You die despite your plights.}”

They all collapse to the ground after her voice and ghostly notes faded. Their faces were contorted with pain, and most of the corpses had clutched their chests. Their skin had patches of ice on it.

"Woah....I am really glad we're on the same side." Kyoya says as he watches in amazement.

The bandits were dead, frozen with looks of dread on their faces.

Still, her eyes stayed blue. On the back of her hand was also ice, which crept over her skin ever-so-slowly. “Whatever,” she responded flippantly.

"...Moon? You alright?" He asked making note of her sudden change, handing her back her book.

Taking it from him, she started walking in the direction they had been going before. “You could say that," she answered with a smirk.

Kyoya just nods at her, remaining wary around her for some reason. "Well, shall we set up camp soon?"

“And sleep?” she asked incredulously. “No way. I just got going, and don't want to stop yet.” The way she said it made it sound like she would be different if she did sleep.

"Alright, let's keep going then." Kyoya said as they approach the base of the mountain. "You can see the ruins from here." He says, pointing up to a spire poking up from somewhere.

“So?” She appeared disinterested, bored almost.
